As far as a waffle goes, 10/10. Delicious, just as good as they said they were on Dragon's Den.

I saw them on Dragon's Den! Hopefully they will come to Vancouver soon... Those waffles looked so damn good.

Le Bistro De Paris (Near Robson/Denman, across from Kintaro)

I always walked by this french restaurant until I finally went and tried this place for my friend's birthday.
The staff greeted all of us and offered to take our coats and umbrellas. The waiter was very helpful in explaining the dishes from the menu and even joked around with us.

I got their $30 3-course meal special (Soup, Beef Tenderloin, Creme Brule) and I added an order of escargot too.
I must say, the food was quite delicious. I don't normally eat french but it was good stuff. My friends got similar dishes and they agreed too. The waiter even gave us two complimentary orders of french fries too.

We also ordered a bottle of Red btwn the four of us too.. Bill came to a little over $200..but it was good!

Waiter was very polite, attentive and was really friendly. He and and another lady sang happy birthday to my friend while presenting our cake too and joked around and chatted with us too. We were all happy.
Its a while since I've gotten such great service dining out in a long time. We left him a good tip.

Food: 8.5/10
Service: 9/10

I will definately come back to this place again.

Went there this evening. The brisket was VERY good. The baby back ribs were alright. Might try the St Louis style ribs next time. Yam fries were also good. I'd have to say it's significantly better than Memphis Blues. Quite busy too today at around 8PM.

unless ur talking about the ayce on alexandra rd. That place renamed itself, not sure if its same owners tho.

CorneringArtist 11-13-2010 05:41 PM

Pho Vinh in Surrey. Haven't had pho in like 5 years, and damn the house special was good. Filled me up pretty quick too (and I'm a big guy).

Old Country Buffet - Bellis Fair, Bellingham WA

5/10

$9.99 for dinner

+$1.99 for the beverage bar. wtf is this shit? i gotta pay for pop? Shouldn't it be included already in the price? Thats fucking bullshit

Food wasn't great. The steak was ok, taco bar was shitty. Selection was pretty crappy. The worst was the pizza...i could of made a better one at home.

I shoulda went to get another McRib.

TOS'd 11-13-2010 09:43 PM

^ not rare enough.

syee 11-13-2010 09:54 PM

$10 for a buffet is pretty cheap. I guess that's why they have people lined up outside the door when dinner time rolls around. I bet that McRib meal ends up being pretty close to $8, and you'll get more food at the buffet. (albeit not very good food....)

Normally, I like my steaks on the rare side but at a buffet, that piece of meat better be cooked pretty well all the way through before I'd eat it...

fliptuner 11-13-2010 10:11 PM

I alsways always order rare so i get a re real medium rare.
