Petr Nedved released from the New York Rangers

http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?articleid...e&service=page

NEW YORK - Petr Nedved's bid to come back to the NHL after a year playing in Europe ended Friday when the New York Rangers released the 36-year-old forward from his tryout.

Nedved tied for the team lead with two goals and three points in three pre-season games this week, but was let go one day before the Rangers were to face New Jersey in their final exhibition contest in North America.

"This is probably it for me as far as the NHL goes," Nedved said Friday. "Obviously, it gave me an indication that I can still play in this league. I'm happy about that, but I don't think I'm going to be trying next year."

Canucks should give him another chance.

So did he leave on his own Accord? If he's tied for the team lead in points, why would the Rangers be so quick to release him? What were they expecting from give him a pre-season try-out?

I must be missing something.

Tom Renney said that if he had the choice of choosing a younger player with the same abilities as to Nedved, then he would take the rookie. In this instance, Renney chose the rookie. Guess there isn't enough space on the roster for Nedved.

Buy a jersey from there and get it customized. $80 + $50 = $130 + tax

They ship from Ontario or Quebec. There's a big thread about them on RFD

Thanks for the heads up, hopefully everyone from RS can put it to good use, as that's a really good price. I myself get a better deal through Reebok (doing a staff order), so the Replica jerseys only cost me $45 shipped, authentic $160. That and I have a friend who can hook up the cresting for a really good price. Know where I might be able to get the old Mighty Ducks jerseys though? Reebok doesn't stock/make them any more, so I don't know where I can get them new.

Damn...$45 shipped for the replica jerseys is an awesome deal :drool

Only place I can think of for the old Ducks jerseys would be eBay.

willystyle 09-27-2008 07:16 PM

How can they manage to screw this up and not be able to anticipate the amount of web traffic that they will be getting?

It's not like this is the first time they've done live streaming on Canucks TV.

CRS 09-27-2008 07:19 PM
