With lots of people having low expectations this season, you can't really be disappointed ;)

ChaKo 09-28-2008 09:07 PM

in that case, gillis is a genius! especially when we get tavaressss! lol

shawn79 09-28-2008 09:08 PM

choda 09-28-2008 09:12 PM

Toronto will get him

ChaKo 09-28-2008 09:43 PM

i was kidding. i really don't see the canucks going lower then 10th, not with luongo in net. that being said, i think it was just bad luck that caused us to miss the playoffs last season and i think we'll make it this year.

goo3 09-28-2008 11:29 PM

so how's brunnstrom doing?

Seamo 09-29-2008 12:10 AM

6thGear. 09-29-2008 12:16 AM

pre-season momentum never carries over. Because when the A team comes out. our A team is not a match.

Tim Budong 09-29-2008 01:30 AM

We were playing Anaheim's last night.

Soundy 09-29-2008 06:38 AM

Most of Anaheim's A team, in fact.

InvisibleSoul 09-29-2008 10:28 AM

Well, it wasn't Anaheim's "A" goalie, that's for sure.

Ikkaku 09-29-2008 11:47 AM

our 'A' goalie wasn't quite playing either?

then again neither was ours

AzNightmare 09-29-2008 01:06 PM

yeah but our B goalie owns their B goalie.
lol

Realistically, it's too hard to judge anything yet.
When games don't give out some sort of meaningful statistic, you can only ponder whether some players were trying to the absolute fullest or not, whether the coaches were juggling lines or not, whether players were trying certain things on the ice they would not in more meaningful games, etc.

Definately the ones battling for a roster spot are working hard, and some intense moments with the scrapping, but still, I wouldn't use exhibition games to base anything yet.

That wasn't even their B goalie... that might have been their D goalie.

Brunnstrom also played last Thursday, got 2 Assists with 16:58 of ice time, playing with Morrow and Ribeiro.

Heard Wellwood reached "acceptable" fitness levels today and lost 8lbs since last time.

Well that's pretty sad then. lol

But it's good that Canucks special teams are working.

That's good news, because Canucks can definately use his skill. Hope he continues to work hard.

Amuse 09-29-2008 04:43 PM

My lines:

Sedin Sedin Bernier
Demitra Wellwood Pyatt
Raymond Kesler Hansen
Burrows Johnson Hordichuck
Krog/Pettinger

Ohlund Edler
Mitchell Bieksa
Salo Krajicek
Davison

Luongo
Sanford

Wellwood should be on the team but he is most effective on the 2nd line, not sure about the third line playing with Kesler.
Hodgson, Rypien, Brown, Nycholat get sent down
Cowan on waivers?

murd0c 09-29-2008 04:49 PM

they won't put raymond and hansen on the same line just to much inexperiance.
