Now to keep this up for the remaining 84 games... |
great game, a tonne of good points came out of it and we didnt even have like 1/2 of our team dressed! |

+1. I am amazed at the way this team has come out this season. |
6-1 over the Lames...undefeated in the pre-season. Do we go down Robson or Granville? |

Enjoy while it lasts. I refuse to jump on the wagon. Once regular season comes and Canucks hit a slump, everyone's gonna be pointing fingers at Gillis again and the Canucks bashing begins again. |
how did demitra look? |

i was searching for demitra's shootout against canucks, came across this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5gaqtzBv5U http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MCoOj41V_s |
was at the game 2night again damn man, the flames just somehow had no jump xept the first 5 during hte beginning of hte 2nd and man.. some fans here at GM place take it too fucking far. yelling CALGARY IS GAY is borderline acceptable by MY own standards. calling IGGY stupid and dumb is going wayyy too far, no one really boos iggy here, he is the ideal role model for a captain of a team, anyways after that ONE lousy CGY goal, he yelled calgary fans are GAY fags out loud, and pissed off alot of ppl, so some screamin and the 4 dumbasses yelling retarded CGY comments starts huckin their beer and popcorn to the ppl sitting next to me, who had a nucks and flames jersey, and then a family with their grandparents from CGY here to watch the game. huckin beer at those ppl, so obviously tehy stick up for the family, and fucking goddamnit the security KICKS OUT HTE PPL BESIDE ME FOR TELLING THOSE FUCKTARDS TO CALM THE FUCK DOWN. unfair man..un fair its likes this one retard who kept on yelling FIRE ALAIN, LINDEN FOR GM..all this garbage one trevor's last night game |
Wow, sucks for the family.. did anyone start a fight? A hockey fan would never boo Iggy.. The guys a model hockey player. Even if I dislike Cgy, I'd never hate on Iginla... maybe phaneuf, but not iggy. |
Jerome almost got into a fight but someone held him back. And I found the crowd very quite and pretty dead. I guess because it was a preseason game. |

Adding shootouts is the best thing ever. Every time the game is tied with about 3 minutes left, I already begin to get excited about shootout. Everytime there's overtime, I hope no one scores in the OT. Best thing about watching old shootouts is that I don't remember some of them, and when you don't remember who wins, its like watching it live again. |
Remember this one? Or how about this one? |

I guess it's normal to give the opposing fans some grief. (I've been subjected to it many times wearing my Canucks jersey in Colorado when I lived there) but I've never had stuff thrown at me. (I heard about someone getting beer poured on them for wearing a Bertuzzi jersey after the incident with Moore). However, it makes Vancouver fans look bad when you're chanting derogatory remarks on a game that's televised nationwide. |
^Better than being a Lions player in Regina and having full beer cans thrown at you! |

Man, I see so many Stanley Cup related posts but I feel wierd with all these wins. Though I don't want to take away anything from the boys, the win and undefeated streak feels half assed especially last night. We won because our young boys played full-tilt while almost all of the vets they're facing are playing half assed. Possibly as it's only pre-season and they're just being cautious. |

I never got a chance to see that last game. Is there any videos of Linden's last game near the end? I don't think it's normal to give opposing fans grief. That's a flaw in society and the cause of many unncessary fights in a hockey game. You're supposed to be enjoying the game, not getting trashed talked or giving trash talk to other people just because they are cheering for another team. But trash talking happens, but then throwing stuff and getting physical is definately going too far. If you want to make fun of a player on the ice, start a chant. You don't go there to start a fight with the audience. There really are people that just want to go and enjoy the game live. But when I hear all these stories, I rather just stay at home or go to a buddy's house and watch it on his big HD TV. At least then, I can go on RevScene during intermissions to post comments about the game. lol Quote:
Stop going on CDC. :) I don't recall any Stanley Cup related posts in here. And yes, I do suspect the veterans will be playing half-assed. They don't want to risk injury. Sometimes you can't help it and the game gets intense and it draws them in. But the bottom line is that it's unncessary to try so hard right now. That is unless you're a young player that wants to capitalize on this perfect oppurtunity to practice against other teams or if you're a rookie trying to secure a spot on the team. But then again, there are just some players that give it their all regardless, because that's just their natural work ethic. Hence why, just because Canucks are 5-0 in preseason, doesn't mean squat. And I still don't believe they are a better team from the previous seasons until I see this happening in regular season. |

It's nice to joke around with the opposing team's fan but throwing stuff at them is just plain stupid. Does that make them look cool or something? |
