first game and hattrick insane |
fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk @ brunnstrom |
All were tap ins but thats what we needed..a player who could tap in the twins passes. |
Crap..we almost had Brunnstrom...until Nonis got fired...he could have signed with the Canucks then fire Nonis. |
Is it just me or does Brunnstrom look like that dude from Pineapple Express? James Franco? |
If Brunnstrom pans out to be what everyone anticipated, GG. |
brunnstrom has some quick hands. in case anyone missed his highlights 1st goal - took a pass in the slot and fired a snap shot top corner 2nd goal - one timed a cross ice pass 3rd goal - another 1 timer from a behind the net pass(altho i think it got tipped from 1 of the dmans stick) couldn't find any youtube vids of his nhl debut. |
the luck of the canucks....he was so close to signing with us! |
Video highlights are on the right side of the main NHL page on TSN. I'm glad he made such a debut. You only have one chance and the cards were in his favor. Can't help but feel that Aquilini screwed us over if Nonis really had him locked. |
You're all ASSuming that he would have signed here for Nonis in the first place... it's quite possible he would have looked at the state of the team at that point in time and decided it wasn't the place for him. Or someone else may have simply offered him a lot more money, with the Canucks unable to match due to cap restrictions. Or given how much of a fuck-up everyone seemed to think Nonis was (right up until he was gone, of course - grass is always greener, and all that), it's just as possible he would have blown the deal at the last minute. Really, keep this kind of ridiculous speculation where it belongs: CDC. |

It was pretty much 99% fact. At least every source said so. Like I said earlier, if Bruunstrom dominates this game, then Aquaman made a big mistake. So for the sake of Canucks, I hope this is just a very good game for him. I will save my comments for later after he has a bit more games under his belt and see where he stands. You're right he might of blown the deal at the last minute. But it wasn't very likely. |

Sundin's agent said his client would have a decision of whether and where he would be playing by the end of August... then September. Neither really means squat. Quote:

not to mention, they immediately withdrew their interest from the canucks the moment they found out nonis was fired. and it was only canucks and detroit who were interested in him and the canucks lucked out by meeting him first. and you can't go wrong with red wings scouting. lol |

CDC "scouts" are already pegging Brunnstrom as having Alfredsson or Hodgson like potential :lol |

When Nonis was fired thats when they decided to speak to other teams since his was only going to sign with the nucks if Nonis was there. Before Nonis was fired there was only Detroit and Vancouver in the mix. Hopefully this plain english helps you understand what really went on  |

Get it now? |
Just saw the highlights, hat trick in his very first game, pretty good. |
Look at the pre-season games. He was doing very well playing on the second line. I remember there was one game against Phoenix where he had 2 goals and 1 assist or something like that. |
