Special teams were horrible today, PP and PK.

Yup, the PK and PP were awful. I have no idea what's up with this team but their like jackal & hyde, one night they look stellar the next night they look like crap.

Don't forget it takes a lot of energy to beat a team like the Wings, travel and play again the next night. Buffalo is playing well too. We put up a good effort all things considered.
Sucks about Wellwood. As much as I don't hate Pyatt like a lot of us here, I feel KW at least earned a chance at some 2nd line ice time. Too bad we may never know what he's all about.

Good thing we don't play the Sabres for the rest of this season. They're a team that has always given our team problems. That Miller is awesome - technically sound, like Luongo. We did OK today considering it's a back to back game. That first goal being so early didn't help matters. Can't take penalties against a team that is deadly on the PP. I though Sanford played well. A few of those goals were like impossible to stop. He made a spectacular save on the break away. I really though we were going to make another come back. We still had some energy and got a fair share of good chances.

As for Pyatt, he looks a little out of place. I recall him being a pretty fast for a guy his size. At least last year. Maybe it's because everybody else this year is that much faster. Anyway, Luongo got his rest. Much better loss than the Washington one.

Well cause Im in Edmonton, i went to a pub to catch the nucks game, and it was beside the Edmonton one. I couldnt believe how slow the Canucks team was tonight. I ended up watching the fast game going on on the screen next to it of Edmonton VS Calgary.

I don't know why, but the Nuck's are taking far too many penalties every game they played so far this season.
They took 6 against the Flames in game 1. 7 in game 2. Can't remember the rest now, but wayyyyy too many.

Taking stupid penalties was a problem last season and it seems like the problem has carried over. The 4 minute penalty in the first period killed us. It was a stupid penalty to take at a crucial time in the game.

a couple more undisciplined losses and AV is going to start tripping
