GFunk 10-31-2008 09:11 PM

cspec 10-31-2008 10:07 PM

i watched the reply, i was like, wow
this is like a warzone, lol

btw, does anyone know how many regulation wins we have?

Soundy 10-31-2008 10:35 PM

Overall record is 6-5; two of those wins are in OT, one (tonight) in the SO, and three were in regulation (and those have all been pretty lopsided - 6-0 over Calgary, 6-3 over Edmonton, and 4-0 last night over LA). So far, we have no OT or SO losses!

rb 10-31-2008 11:06 PM

I just won the CTV trivia contest for tonight. However, i just found out that my prize was for some retarded Boozapalooza shit. Was hopin for nucks or lions tickets. !@#$

Yeah I had a feeling Ohlund would score... He should've just shot 2nd! He has a great shot.

CRX SiR 10-31-2008 11:26 PM

awww, i was out tonight and missed a back and forth game i can see. Whats Lu's GAA these days? It cant be too low... but glad were getting some wins! GO CANUCKS!

lilaznviper 10-31-2008 11:43 PM

win is a win...doesnt matter how many goals lu lets in

AzNightmare 10-31-2008 11:47 PM

Who LOL-ed on Daniel's shootout attempt?

I mean by that time, it just seemed comical. WTF was going on, no one was scoring.
And when Daniel did that move, he just kinda stoppped dead right on the door step. And everything just kinda froze still for 2 seconds. lol. made me laugh.

I was so worried Anaheim was gonna win it. I mean I thought Selanne would of for sure got one in. So would a bunch of Anaheim's top players. I was a bit nervous when it was Morrison's turn to shoot. I was actually wondering would they cycle through the whole team. Was this the longest shootout in NHL history?

So far, I haven't seen Wellwood miss on a shootout.

It matters when you're paying him almost 7 million a year. He's been playing mediocre lately (besides yesterday against LA), so although the Canucks offense has improved, their defense has gotten worse, but Luongo hasn't been playing to his potential.

Hondaracer 11-01-2008 12:13 AM

Wellwood had a great game tonight, he has the best on-ice vision on the team i think, finally we have a guy to make the crucial 3rd pass in the offensive zone

wahyinghung 11-01-2008 12:16 AM

Yeah Halloween Win let's make it 3 in a row on Sunday!

Harvey Specter 11-01-2008 03:03 AM

He played 2 games in a row and was stellar in the previous two games allowing only one goal.

You and me both. I got to listen to snippets on the radio - caught the end of the first when it was 2-1, then caught Burrows' SH goal to make it 3-2, next thing I heard it was 5-2, and then I got back in the car in time for Selanne to tie it at 5, and again just in time to miss hearing it get tied at 6.

Was home to watch the latter half of OT and the hours of shootout :D

Not great...

Code:

Player            Team  GP  W  L  OT SA  GA  GAA  Sv  Sv%  SO  G  A  PIM  TOI
  1  Henrik Lundqvist  NYR  11  8  2  1  304  22  1.99  282  .928  0  0  0  0    661:44
  2  Evgeni Nabokov    SJS  9  7  2  0  214  25  2.75  189  .883  0  0  0  0    545:01
  3  Niklas Backstrom  MIN  8  6  1  1  220  17  2.29  203  .923  1  0  0  0    444:59
  4  Miikka Kiprusoff  CGY  10  6  3  1  294  29  2.89  265  .901  1  0  0  0    601:39

Edit: Interesting, Lu is tied for first in shutouts with two in 10 games; the others are Tim Thomas (go fig) in 7 games, Marty Brodeur in 9 games, and Brian Boucher in San Jose, who's recorded two shutouts in... two games played (and no, they weren't partial games - his TOI is 119:56!, SV% 1.000, GAA 0.00).

Both twins looked very shaky on their shoot out attempts. I can't believe AV hasn't worked on the shootouts during practice?
I love shoot out/break away contest's.

I don't understand why these professional athletes who get paid to be at the top of their game is so weak on this aspect. Selanne telegraphed his deek because the puck was in front of him the whole time. If he had the puck by his side, he could shoot or make a move to his back hand.
And why do so many of these fools just skate down the middle of the ice? I understand that the ice is rough when they venture too far wide, but they need to to get the goal to move and open up a corner. And unless the player has really quick hands like Wellwood's goal, skating in at such slow speeds makes it easier for the goalie, unless he loves to stack the pads and pokecheck like Lu.
