Went to the game and it was pretty good. Got off to a bad start during the 3rd period which cost us a goal. The end of the 3rd was awesome, and them so close to scoring with 0.07 left was great haha.

Too bad there was no Burnaby joe. wanted to see him

Edit: I was sitting a couple rows infront of this guy with his son and damn... was he annoying!! he talks like he is hot shit when it comes to the game and he knows everything.... they should play the commercial about "relax... it's just a game" during tv timeouts or something....i hope i never sit with someone like that again. haha

New mask for Lou to go along with our 3rd Jerseys I suppose.

I've always wondered...if a goalie can paint his helmet, how come none of the players have them painted... :D

"Curtis Sanford got a new mask through the summer. Roberto Luongo altered his slightly. And now the Canucks captain debuted a brand new mask at GM Place Wednesday morning.

The new mask will accompany the new third jersey the team plans to unveil tonight when the Canucks host the Sports Celebrities Festival at the Vancouver Hotel. Get photos, a video, and the story behind the design, all here on Canucks.com tonight following the unveiling.

See the new mask and new sweaters live when they make their first appearance on the GM Place ice Saturday against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Watch the game opening live on Canucks.com to see the team in their new garb."

I like the old stick and rink better but glad Johnny Canuck is finally on one of our jerseys even though it's just his head.

Expresso 11-13-2008 04:20 PM

What does everyone think of the new Jerseys? Would be nice if they tried something newer though.

So looks like Bernier is on the 4th line lol, not sure how that helps his development.

Harvey Specter 11-13-2008 08:35 PM

Shit, Flamers getting stomped by the Sharks haha.

Tim Budong 11-13-2008 08:55 PM

what the radio said today made alot of sense in regards to the new jerseys
they arnt bad, but lets look at this from a business standpoint

if the johnny canuck V was the center crest with the stick in rink on the shoulders, it woulda sold more, be more unique most likely sell better

in my mind..waht they said is correct, and makes alot of sense, but then, that warm video i saw earlier about the "V" comepletely made me understand why they went back to this.

i saw the video on www.icethetics.info

sharks 3rd also leaked

i must say, icethetics is hawt

It seems Canucks' offense have dried up a bit actually.
It was hidden due to the fact Canucks won 3 in a row and Luongo had 3 shutouts.
But the 1-0 and 2-0 victories against Coyotes and the Wild looked like Canucks struggled throughout the game trying to finish great scoring chances.

Canucks didn't play much better against the Avs than the previous games except for the fact Luongo this time actually let in a goal. And then Canucks lost in shootout.

They're making the right plays, but for the past several games, they have been having some trouble making the finishing touch.

And if he doesn't learn to shoot more, he'll be back in the minors.
He had a glorious chance 15 ft from the net and instead he passed back to the high man.

I agree with this. The twins aren't putting the puck in the net as much as they "should", and now the offence from the Kesler/Borrow line has slowed down to what it should be normally meaning more 2-1 or 3-2 games.
