Yeah, absolutely horrendous. It's not even so much that we're getting our asses handed to us, but just the way they're playing makes me not even want to watch anymore. I stopped paying attention in the 3rd period, and I pretty much never do that...

Ch28 12-13-2008 08:32 PM

Oh?

Al Strachan during Satellite Hotstove - "Gaborik will no longer be part of Minnesota's franchise moving forward, and its believed by the entire hockey world that Gaborik will be in Vancouver next season."

Strachan also added "At the same time, Mike Gillis will make a move for Marion Hossa, after the attempt to win a cup in Detroit, and have Gaborik Demitra Hossa, all are close friends"

this was an awful game tonight. No effort from the nucks they are geting out hustled to every puck. the canucks PP looked disgusting they cant get a shot through. and the cancuks cannot even make a tape to tape pass right now it keeps going off skates and getting turned over. And the refs should put there damn whistles away they ruined the flow of this game.

Even tho I agree it has been a horrible and extremely boring game, but give the boys a break, they are finishing off a 7 game road trip without their best player while Edmonton has been home for a week.

411ken 12-13-2008 08:47 PM

I doubt Hossa/Gaborik will sign here unless they are willing to take a discount to play with demitra.... i mean how much will Hossa ask for? 9mill and Gabs for 7 mill or so? it would be nice to see though.

I didn't even watch tonights game but by reading the responses here, good thing I watched the UFC live instead hehehe.

Razor Ramon HG 12-13-2008 08:53 PM

I'd love Gaborik to play here... if he could stay healthy the whole season. He's such a gamble I wouldn't risk it.

saucywoman 12-13-2008 08:57 PM

wow that game saddened me very much :( I hope they get their head back into the game.

The biggest mistake was to send the team home first before going back to Edmonton. Today's game was painful to watch. They totally deserved the loss. I'm a Sanford supporter, but he really sucked today. The Oilers made the Canucks look like a last place team. No continuity and everything that could go wrong went wrong for the Canucks. I'd be embarrassed if I were the coach.

Absolutely pathetic performance. Good thing they were not at GM Place. This is right up there with that other big time loss to Washington. A shutout loss on National TV.

I'm usually positive with the Canucks. Even after huge losses, but this one was piss poor effort. Ashamed to be a Canucks fan right now....... we sucked big time.

cdizzle_996 12-13-2008 09:17 PM

Yeah they were looking like the canucks of last year.

saiko 12-13-2008 09:22 PM

Who's generally counted on for scoring? It seems like they only have one line counted on to score, and the rest chips in whenever - and is never consistent.

O'Brien never passes. He always opts to skate the puck up and either dump it in, turn over, or just gives it away..

I liked the play of Bernier though. Always physical and doesn't give up. Pyatt looked like shit, as usual. Why is he still around? Someone please tell me something positive about the guy, he's just really negative in my view.

cdizzle_996 12-13-2008 09:25 PM

He has nice eyes.^^^

.... wow.... 2 games in a row i go to (Calgary a couple weeks ago) and now this one where they just dont show up. The fights in the first period were the one highlight. You cant start playing down by 3 in the last 10 minutes of the game and expect to win. There was only 2 plays in the first 50 minutes that was anything even remotely "dangerous" from us. If they dont show up on the 22 for the game against the Ducks, it will be the last game for me of the season.

Off topic, If General Motors goes under, will we have a new name for GM place next season?

Probably.

GM already cut their sponsorship deal with Tiger Woods a couple of weeks back.

Does anyone know if the 20 million is spread over the 20 years or it was already paid all at once?

lacubrious1 12-14-2008 01:26 AM

Would that be allowed since Anaheims rink is the Honda Center?

punkwax 12-14-2008 07:13 AM

Let's hope Sundin didn't watch that game as well.

Interesting post about Hossa and Gaborik. I'd rather make a couple moves and sign those two than pay Sundin 10M today. Seems like a pipedream though.

Harvey Specter 12-14-2008 04:34 PM

Schneider was already a starter tonight before last nights game. It's going be a tough game, Florida has won their last 5 and are 3-0 vs NW teams.
