were you able to get the bold? because i was todl that i have to get teh $30 data plan in order to be eligible for the $199 bold.

To get YouTube working...

STEP 1)
OPTIONS> Advanced Settings>TCP
set your APN to: internet.com
no username/pass is needed.

STEP 2)
OPTIONS> Advanced Settings>service books
delete "WAP Browserconfig"
delete "Rogers Do More"

You'll need to delete those two every time you restart/turn off your phone. It's really the only way around it right now...

And I just restarted my Bold, and those two items didn't come back. Which is fine with me. We don't get charged for changing the APN and deleting the files do we? I have the 6GB data plan BTW...

Do you think the 3rd party external battery charger will harm/damage the OEM battery?

quick update. people can get the bold for 99.99 IF they are on tier 5, have not added data on their account and received the promotion for the free curve/pearl. If not it won't show up. A couple customers of mine reconfirmed it. Oh and also the $50 mail in rebate won't work according to cs if you get the bold at 99.99

Both are unlikely to harm the OEM battery. An aftermarket battery, on the other hand, that's what I'd stay away from.

It's fine... I did it for awhile now and my bill last month was unaffected.

I believe it chooses the fastest available network... This is from reading on the blackberry forums.

Since Wi-Fi is faster than 3G, it will most likely choose that...

Tier 5 = high paying customer. Generate lots of revenue and therefore you can max out on your discount for a new phone. Tier 1 is a low revenue customer, you usually have to end up paying retail 3 year activation or more for a phone.

Funny, eh? Business is business.

It used to be done be tenure, ex. the longer you were with the company, the more discount you could get on your phone/plan. They have stopped that this year.

discounts for upgrades are separated into levels tier 1-5. each of em are separated by the amount u spent with the company from bills. tier 5 is when u spent 2500 bucks in bills. too lazy to type the rest.
