It would be pretty damn cold too...just washed mine 2 weekends ago and my hands were freezing. Also saw a huge chunk of paint had flaked off my front bumper

InvisibleSoul 01-26-2009 03:32 PM

LoL... yeah, I washed my car last week, and it was NOT fun!

After my first dip in the bucket of ice cold water, I said screw that... went upstairs and got a bucket of hot water... that made it MUCh better!

I'd rather do that then scrape ice off the windshield at 6am, when it's -25 AND the wind is blowing! :(

um...aren't you NOT supposed to wash your car in hot water? that's not good for the paint.

E-40six 01-26-2009 05:24 PM

i think the paint job are a lot more resistant than to take a little bit of hot water. i guess as long as it is not boiling hot it should be fine

LOL, my paint should be falling off by now then, I run 200f HOT water through my pressure washer and wash my car.

Just make sure to put on a fresh coat of wax when you are done. The hot water issue is the same as why you should not use dish soap when washing your car, it strips off the wax.

P.S. unless you have a really good pressure washer don't try this at home as it will burn out the pump in your pressure washer. Cheap pressure washers are cooled via the cold water.
