I was going to pick up a Samsung Galaxy S 2 today but I decided against it because I was advised that Bell and Rogers was going to receive this phone in the near future. I can't justify spending that much money only to have the phone become deflated in value when it becomes available at a contract price. That being said, I've decided to go with the HTC Sensation; which apparently has a better screen (qHD). |

still waiting on news from rogers =[ would you guys still choose this over the now rumored iphone 5??? i think i still would unless it would blow the sgs2 out of the water |
I think most android users won't care about iphone5 to much. iPhone will never be a deciding factor for me. |
Ive always been tempted by the iphone, but I never liked how its so locked down out of the box. If it was customizable like android THEN it would be a contender. But damn, no bluetooth file transfers? Thats a HUGE negative for me, even basic phones have that feature now lol |
i want this phone, but it looks kinda big in the reviews :/ |

In my opinion, there is no point in having a beautiful screen if your battery can't handle it. And you can definitely see a color difference between the phones looking at the pictures; Samsung is definitely more vivid. P.S. - it would make sense to enable a THANKS button in this Sub-Section... |

Pro: big screen obvs. Con: some people cant use the screen with just one hand. (luckily i can) Quote:

Saw one in the wild while waiting in line at Greek Day yesterday. Good lord the interweb pictures don't do it justice. Can't wait! |
Someone has to know if and when this is coming to Rogers! I want to use my hardware upgrade option with Rogers but I really don't feel like signing with Bell. |
I would never sign a new contract JUST to get a phone |

buy it 800$ outright or 3year contract + say 300ish$ if u wanna cancel contract its 500$ if u have +24month + data left basically the same thing but the benefit of getting the phone cheaper if u continue using the same carrier. |
i will never sign another 3 year contract >mfw i sign a 3 year for this phone |

my guess is sometime late august before school starts |
^hard to say i read from ppls comments that is a bell exclusive and will be released later with a different name as the previous galaxy was and others say it will be on the major carriers then later released on the others like wind/koodo/mobilicity but for now im just looking up on the basics on operating an android so im not a complete newb =] |
Might want to wait till Sept. Seems like a new dual core 1.4ghz SGS2+ will be launched to go head to head with ip5. http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/faster-...er-27-06-2011/ |
doubt that's happening as they've already hinted at galaxy S III for next year...and hell II hasn't even arrived on north american shores yet. personally not going to wait forever.. |

I don't care much for .2ghz upgrade, I am keeping my fingers crossed for a 32g version and maybe the new OS. Quote:

http://mobilesyrup.com/2011/06/29/be...-4g-in-canada/ It’s official. Bell will be releasing the Samsung Galaxy S II in Canada, but calling it the GALAXY S II 4G. In a press release this morning Bell stated that it’ll be available “in the coming weeks” but we can register for updates on their dedicated site (rumours are the launch date is July 14th). EDIT: http://mobilesyrup.com/2011/06/29/sa...9-on-a-3-year/ |
Virgin is also getting it according to mobilesyrup Posted via RS Mobile |
