knowing how Bell does things in the past, there are only 3 ways of getting one:
1) activate a line with them.
2) go to a shady Bell dealer and pay the guy an extra $100 or so on top of the retail price.
3) know somebody

That is so fucked up

yah.. had to get my galaxy s through craigslist last time after many attempts to find a dealer who would sell to me. If you're lucky you might find someone inexperienced.. and even then if youre not with bell, you'll have to pay $75 for unlock code (which they might not even be willing to give to you unless u sign a plan) or wait a couple weeks for someone to write an unlock app.... i might just buy it unlocked from mobileDNA seeing as their price is gradually dropping... $693 now..

jmvdesign 07-04-2011 02:28 PM

Gh0stRider 07-04-2011 02:35 PM

thats not a good plan. 500mb is not enough

i use close to 2gb/month

3 million sold in 55 days...damn.

Gh0stRider 07-04-2011 06:14 PM

hmm, i guess you could sign up for that 12 month plan and get the s2 for 260 and cancel after a month. works out to be cheaper than paying outright.

cancellation fee $240 + s2 $260 = $500 plus hst

jmvdesign 07-04-2011 06:26 PM

They also had this cheaper $200 early bird promo that included all of the features I posted above a few weeks back.

Do they charge you for cancelling that data as well? or is that part of the $240 cancellation?

Those numbers are staggering considering the phone was only official launched in Asia and Europe. No North American release to boost up those numbers.

Oh ya there a fee for cancelling data as well. Will have to find out how much that costs.
Its $20 x remaining months to a max of $400

Why wouldnt they? Can cancel anytime, as long as you pay the early termination fee

jeff19 07-04-2011 08:40 PM

i thought this 12 month thing was some special deal or sth. from what i've gathered, theres a flat $200 cancellation fee for data as well. so total cost will still come out to be around $700 :(

Gh0stRider 07-04-2011 08:56 PM

If it is then its not worth it.

Mobile dna review

Found on craigslist

I BOUGHT PHONE FROM MOBILE DNA AND WASN'T HAPPY THEY REQUIRE DEPOSIT OF $50(THAT I GLADLY PAID WITH PAYPAL)I FOR THEIR PHONES (WITH ALMOST NO WARRANTY) WELL THEY ARE IN DROP SHIPPING BUSINESS ,LOL ,WHEN I PICKED IT UP 1 WEEK LATER THE PRICE WAS HIGHER THEN WE AGREED ON. (THE ALSO TOLD ME BEFORE I PAID DEPOSIT THAT THEY CAN MEET ME IN BURNABY SINCE I WAS PAYING CASH ,BUT THEN THEY CHANGED THEIR MIND) SO THE" NOKIA 58**" 8GB THEY USED TO ADVERTISE, CAME WITH WRONG STYLE CHARGER -220 VOLTS ,WHEN I CALLED HIM I WAS TOLD IT SHOULD BE PACKAGED IN THE BOX ALONG WITH PHONE BUT INSTEAD I FOUND PHONE MANUAL IN ARABIC AND NO ENGLISH ONE ,I DON'T SPEAK ARABIC. (2 DAYS LATER 110V TO 220VPLUG ADOPTER GOT MAILED TO ME ) THEN 3 DAYS SINCE I GOT IT ,I REALIZED IT HAS 4GB INSTEAD 8GB MICRO SD ,WHEN I ASKED THEM TO SEND ME ANOTHER ONE, THE TOLD TO MAIL A WRONG ONE BACK TO THEM FIRST- LIKE ITS MY PROBLEM ,I HAVEN'T USED THIS PHONE FOR 2 MONTHS NOW STARTED USING IT AGAIN AND REALIZED BATTERY NOT HOLDING CHARGE .I DON'T THINK I SHOULD CALL THEM AGAIN ,THAT WOULD BE WASTE OF MY TIME

IF YOU DON'T WANT CRAPPY PHONE DON'T DEAL WITH RIK

jmvdesign 07-05-2011 11:58 AM

LOL thanks for the heads up.

Vale46Rossi 07-05-2011 11:59 AM

Hmm, thats kind of weird I got great service when I went in to pick up the Sg2

I paid and they told me it comes with a 220v charger and I can have a free adapter if I wanted but I didn't need one cause I have a few of those.

I guess jsut 1 guy with bad experience but then again I didn't deal with RIK
