If Rogers hasn't announced the phone by now, it's pretty safe to assume they won't be getting it launch day. I'm assuming Bell, Virgin, and Sasktel have some sort of exclusive deal signed.

I do, at least it's not as ancient as aol e-mail accounts lol

hate how you have to go in to settings to mount the storage everytime... anyone have a way around it ?

There's tons of widgets that let you do it. I use Widgetsoid.

Turn on USB debugging and it will give you the option to mount in the notification bar. However, you won't be able to sync via Kies until this is turned off (i never use Kies, so I don't care)

Settings>Applications>Development>USB Debugging

Weird how i have to enable debugging when all the other androids ive used just enables mounting in notification bar without doing anything.

Bell is getting it, and it will be listed at $599. But add tax, and the realistic chance of actually getting your hands on one without a new contract... the Clove option seemed the best.

After flashing to 2.3.4 on a stock rom through ODIN, initial thoughts after playing around with the phone for a couple of hours. The Android OS before use to drain the battery at about 25% now its down to 12%. The home screen button responds slightly faster, the swiping from the stock lockscreen is also slightly faster. WIFI for me got stronger, before on 2.3.3 I only had 1 bar when in the basement but now in the same spot I'd get 3 bars.

Future Shop has now been shipped the demonstration models for the Bell SG 2. They'll be setting them up for the launch soon...

how long did it take for rogers to get the galaxy S last year after other canadian carriers first offered it?

played with one last night for the first time. Holy fuck it is light, imo a little too light

Like 2 months after lol. Their variation of it might be better though, i liked the design of their captivate
