looks like the camera is moving side to side a lot in that first video, the quality is okay though

Thanks! The suspension travel is too long on the SUV... :(

HD Digital Video Camera Recorder Portable Car Camcorder 1280x960 products, buy HD Digital Video Camera Recorder Portable Car Camcorder 1280x960 products from alibaba.com

Found a store locally that carries this camcorder for $79.99...
Apparently its 1280x960 HD... Probably simplier than what you guys have but something to start out?

Plugs into 12volt ... Is that how most of yours are like? Thanks!

can you tell us what store please XD (i need one my self)

HondaGuy 04-19-2012 09:22 PM

Sure...green net systems on 1439 kingsway and other location in richmond.

Could amuro ray post a video for reference? The miniscreen showed clear shots but wanna know how it looks transferred onto youtube or computer? Also how much you paid?

!Aznboi128 04-19-2012 09:32 PM

I've gone thru two cheap deal extreme cams and finally cave and got the dr-400. Honestly speaking just paying the little bit more from the start should of been the thought from the start. I wasted 150 bucks or so on the cheap cam that doesn't really give good output and night shots were terrible

Videos on youtube: DVR-P5000 - YouTube

It's not true HD, it's upscaled. The video's actually probably something like 640*480, and they upscale it to 1280*960 (You're just looking at low res video on a bigger screen).

not the best but it serves it's purpose

So, thinking of getting one of these dash cams. Is the one you have easy to unmount? Also, can I purchase an extra mount so I can install it on another vehicle?

I gather this is the same one you have and the the same that's available at the store on Kingsway?

1080p HD DASH CAMERA

I like the Black Vue that people are talking about, but if this is good enough, I can use the money I save to buy another one for the rear. Also if it gets stolen, it won't hurt as much as getting an expensive one stolen.

I hope the cam takes decent footage at night, 'cause you never know when you're in a situation like I was on New Year's Eve. My memory is good, but there's nothing like playing back a footage like that on a screen. Shiny, tight, blue dresses, FTW!

!Aznboi128 04-21-2012 06:58 AM

honestly theres not many camera's that can have the same output at night as blackvue

MG1 04-21-2012 12:22 PM

Whoever has one of these for a good price, please PM me details. Thanks. Black Vue or anything decent.

Is it worth getting BV 400 over 350?

It was for me. The DR350 misses out on full HD resolution and GPS; it records at VGA resolution (640*480 vs 1920*1080 for the 400)

krazynuck 04-21-2012 02:18 PM

looks like the 400 is back down to about $220 USD

Cool.......... can you please PM me link? There's a shitload of places that sell the product, but I want to get it from a proven, reliable source.

thanks...........

Araaadi 04-21-2012 03:53 PM

i messaged a bunch of sellers to see how much if we order 10-20 but no good responses yet.

!Aznboi128 04-21-2012 08:58 PM

if you watch in high def and full screen he does that again by the bus

must say I'm impressed with the dr400

Paradise240 04-21-2012 10:03 PM

Got my $30 eBay camera in a few days ago, pretty decent for the price. Only complaint is the audio is shit.

Araaadi 04-21-2012 10:13 PM

I found a seller for $185 each + 100 USD for shipping of up to 20..

HondaGuy 04-21-2012 10:33 PM

Almost sounds like the same, but I was told mine was 180 degree lens....your link says 140? I dunno...

From what I've gathered, its straight suction cup, plugs into 12v socket, buy your own sd card and ready to go. I still like to go check it out and ask more questions from sales guy before purchase.
