What's so special about gorilla glass? I have never broken a screen since 1998. How come everything needs to have gorilla glass or nothing

Gorilla glass is chemically hardened thus providing more scratch protection.
Its not scratch proof, but more resistant

Galaxy Nexus is supposed to have some glass treatment as well although not gorilla glass. I'm OK with either or since I take great care of my stuff.

Yeah I was reading about this the other day, apparently samsung has told people on the android forums its another type of "fortified" glass, but not brand name. Even if you do take care of your stuff, its nice knowing that you have a proven material on there vs. some new type of "fortified" glass :)

Gorilla glass is just a name Corning uses so everyone thinks there's nothing else like it, but there are other manufacturers who make glass just as strong. Dragontrail is one, who knows what Samsung used but if it's a fortified glass I'd assume it's pretty decent.

They want you to use their cloud eg. Google Music (which is only available for the States at the moment...), Picasa (for your photos -.-), Google Docs (for your documents).

!Yaminashi 11-03-2011 10:18 AM

No memory card slot is a HUGE deal breaker for me as well

!MiKrofT 11-03-2011 12:34 PM

LOL. I barely even use up 16gb from the 32 in total that I have.

i keep my phone full of "Media"

64GB would be nice, but 48GB aint bad and i can carry multiple Micro SD's

16 GB storage on a phone with 1024x720 videos is futile

:yuno:

Yup. That's the beauty of Nexus devices and google experience devices like my Xoom.
