The Dev said he's releasing a full version of the SDK port with face unlock soon (most likely tonight).

For an SDK port, it's been mighty stable.

Tim Budong 11-04-2011 03:46 PM

i used the ICS port for a day just to mess around

unit 11-04-2011 03:53 PM

wipe data/dalvik/cache b4 everyrom install
load cm7.1.0.1 as it fixes some issues
refer to my latest Nexus S posts

SetCPU is used to Overclock and modify voltage settings. its a CPU governing tool

Hey guys I'm an iPhone user thinking of switching to android.

Does google provide a cloud service like the iCloud?

Does the share buttons on the android have Facebook integration?

And has their YouTube app been updated to show top comments and allow u to post comments?

Thanks!

I use dropbox for cloud services, I dont think its as advanced as icloud though but if you just need to be able to wirelessly access media its great. Maybe someone else can chime in here as I JUST started using dropbox lol

Yes, the share button has facebook integration. Example, if I'm viewing a pic in my gallery I can hit the menu button then share via facebook

Google does have cloud service for contacts.
Also, it seems to have cloud service for apps you installed from the market. So when you wipe the phone and set it up again with the your account it should automatically download the apps you had previously installed.

DanHibiki 11-08-2011 10:25 AM

^ does it save app data as well?

How does backing up on the android work?

I really hope they come out with a cloud service exactly like iCloud.

Bell to launch the Samsung Galaxy Nexus | MobileSyrup.com
Rogers to release the Samsung Galaxy Nexus in January 2012 | MobileSyrup.com

Looks like Bell/virgin are releasing the phone in early December where as Rogers isn't releasing the phone until January.

twitchyzero 11-14-2011 01:04 PM

Roggers :yuno: faster!11

It's already debuting this Friday in the UK

some guy on RFD is confirming the GSII HD LTE is coming to bell but didn't give any more info...if i'm going to wait until janurary might as well get that instead

So Bell's SGGN will be unlocked straight out of the box and it won't be branded, right?

MarkyMark 11-14-2011 02:29 PM

Whats with Bell getting the best phones first, rogers has like just started rolling out the Galaxy S 2 lol. Get your shit together rogers.

m3thods 11-14-2011 02:30 PM

Not sure if this is posted, but Rogers is taking reservations for the GN starting tomorrow:

Rogers taking reservations for the Galaxy Nexus starting Nov. 15 | Android Central

:sweetjesus:

twitchyzero 11-14-2011 02:55 PM

What are the chances Rogers will ship the LTE version with a chipset that will support 1700MHz?

Guess we'll find out tomorrow.

MarkyMark 11-14-2011 03:11 PM

Rogers needs to join bell and let us use our 6GB plan on the LTE network with no additional charges, im not paying 50 bucks a month just for data

As for every Nexus release, its always unbranded and unlocked. There wasnt even a distinguishable difference when I bought my Telus NS and Koodo NS 2 weeks later. Just an opened box with a diff sim package. Im sure the GN is no different :).

DanHibiki 11-14-2011 04:32 PM

^really???

So I can just buy an unlocked one from bell with no contract and use it on Fido?

Has a price been released on the phone in Canada yet?

Tim Budong 11-14-2011 04:47 PM

no pricing yet
but yea, i know someone who bought koodo NS and is using on Rogers

!MiKrofT 11-14-2011 05:02 PM

All Nexus phones are unlocked regardless of carrier. The ICS source was released today. Time for the customer roms to flood the scene lol.
