is it NECESSARY to do declines to shape your pecs better or will packing on more incline+flat kinda just compensate for it?
I've heard rumors where they're not really needed but my lower chest looks like its lacking big time.

Just came back from SC. If they had new pins or clips I didn't see them anywhere near the squat rack. Ended up bringing out my own clips. Otherwise pretty good workout with laughable weight. It totally sucks to be 138lbs at 5'7".

theres debate on being able to isolate lower mid upper chest.. just like with upper mid and lower abs... i am a strong believer of genetics in those situations. i hardly ever do incline or decline and my chest grows fully evenly

Got 475 up to my knees couldn't pull the trigger =/

Going to try with belt + straps next week..
fuck had to take a 5minute rest to continue rest of workout, ripped shit up tho

Just got back from first day at sportcentral. As I finished benching I knelt down to put the weights away
and as I got up I hit the barbell with my ass and it fucking flew.

I bet you would've gotten it if you just adjust your previous sets/reps. 450 for a double is what gassed you out.

Why even bother doing 10 reps of 225? Even for a warm up, you shouldn't need to do that many reps. Especially if you're going to do 8 reps after that.

3x5 makes more sense, IMO.

man i was so zoned in and cracked out I didn't even think twice. yea, the second rep @ 450 just drained me... next week I will lift it for sure

did you use a fullsize bar?
i did em today too, but the fullsize bar didnt seem right i had to reach so far

so i used the a bar thats maybe a foot shorter than the olympic bar
did em light as i just deadlifted saturday, but they do feel rad

luckily we have some of those weights with handles built into em, so grip was dialed

tongiht was great tho, hammered new PR's on everything (except bb sholder press fuck)

Yeah just a standard bar. I used as wide a grip as possible.. not quite to the plates but almost. You have to keep in mind to do them like romanian deadlifts apparently

I guess what I'm talking about is the snatch deadlift... I'm pretty sure you get the same (or close enough) effects from using the bar with a really wide grip.. Reeves lift probbaly better for your grip tho
