Same here.. in a way I am glad there are fewer distractions. But when test is flowing it's almost like beer goggles which is weird :heckno: |
richmond olympic oval, asian LGs from richmond :megusta: and 6-7 racks to squat compared to one rack @ hillcrest? :awwyeah: edit: i think its 5-6 but can not remember :suspicious: 2 of them are on the platform but not many people deadlift/MP there but when i do see them, it is mostly pinner fobs/hongers doing light weights :fuckthatshit: |

Fuck hillcrest. I went once in october, and it was waaay too packed. 6 person wait for the squat rack :fuckthatshit: |
The Oval has 4 full power cages (with 3 platforms) and one half-rack of sorts, all open to the public. I think they have 4-5 more racks reserved elsewhere for personal training or special members. Those who have been to the Oval in the past, like the end of last year, they'll know how it used to be even better. 4 full power cages side by side, all with bumper plates and platforms, where the stretching area is now. That is probably as close to gym heaven I've ever experienced. |
^^ Been there, done that. Its open to public but they fuckin close the whole section off when a single personal trainer is in there. Went there for 3 months and kicked it cause of that. Unless they have more Full Power Racks outside that area now? How is it these days? |
Yep, that used to annoy me too. They took all 4 of those power cages and moved them downstairs to a private training-only section. They turned the area at the end into a huge stretching area. 2 cages were brought in and placed where the old stretching area used to be. Each cage has a platform. This is also where the half-rack is. I don't understand why they couldn't have just left the stretching area where it was, and kept the 4 racks where they were. They could've just take those 3 new racks that were brought in and sent them straight downstairs to the private area. Why bother disassembling 4 racks then reassembling it...? :suspicious: The upside is no private training is done upstairs in the public area now. The downside, IMO, is that because the squat racks are somewhat more accessible now, noobs are using them to do, um, beginner exercises. But I guess we all gotta share in this life, right? Whether it be the planet we live on, or the racks we squat in... :okay: |
share? :fuckthatshit: only waited once in my life when it was semi busy but i want the ones with mirrors :okay: |
That's cool. I want the ones without the mirrors. |
I havent seen a challenge in here for awhile, Furious pete is having a 25 rep BW contest if anyone records them selfs its 75 dollars at BB.com GOOD LUCK Spoiler! |
Fuck I wish I wasn't injured. I did 20 reps of 225 at bodyweight 200lbs a couple months ago. |
I predict someone in the 170-180lb range is gonna pound out 25 reps in a row real quick. Halo should be able to rep out 25@215-22lbs easy. Berz out. |
