Where do you buy cheap chalk? Thanks :)

I make my own chalk....haha grabbed a few fat industrial chalk for writing on concrete/cardboard and crushed them up....works like a charm...no itch yet.:concentrate:

Sciatica - PubMed Health

One of my teachers also said that only after months of ice/heat packs and treatment and rest could he go back. He also had to go see a lower back/core rehab guy for his lower back. After strengthening of his lower back, could he start to run/ get back into deadlifts and other stuff.

BIG UPS TO Jordanl250. :bigthumb:

It's a lot easier if you are doing IF ;)

No spotter, and I hate bugging ppl. Is bench with smith machine pointless?

SkinnyPupp 10-03-2011 08:48 PM

I don't know if it's pointless, but when you are at the point where you are lifting heavy enough to require a spotter, maybe there is a potential for injury. I would look into what trainers are saying first.

hal0g0dv2 10-03-2011 08:53 PM

Smith machine has it's place

SkinnyPupp 10-03-2011 08:54 PM

Yup, and the question was if that includes a replacement for bench press at PR levels. What do you think?

RRxtar 10-03-2011 08:55 PM

who fucking cares how much you're lifting, bench press is like, the #1 exercise where if you dont have a spotter shit can go bad. you dont have any outs other than dropping the weight on your chest. everything else you have an out.

it doesnt matter whether your pushing your rep # at low weight or weight increase, get a spotter.

hell, i even failed one time re racking the bar after a warm up set where my spotter caught the bar for me.

ps: i do smith machine bench sometimes. seems to hit things a little different too. just make sure you line yourself up under the bar right so you're shoulders are pushing inline.

SkinnyPupp 10-03-2011 08:59 PM

Or if you can't get a spotter, drop bench press from your routine. It's not the best chest builder anyway, and makes your shoulders work in an awkward way which can cause problems. It's more of a 'for fun' lift than anything.

ShadowBun 10-03-2011 09:18 PM

whats the best chest builder anyways then?

rJZx 10-03-2011 09:23 PM

DB incline press imo
