at the gym rite now was just doing rackpulls did 135x10, 225x10, 245x10, 265x10, 275x10, at this point the 275 was heavy bcuz i normally dl 245x5, but i thought i should go for 300 so i loaded the weight and on my first rep i felt something in my left lower lat area like rip or pull so i dropped the weight and now i cant pick anything up/couldnt unload the bar and it hurts to bend over or lean or tilt a bit to one side,

what is this? cant even do curls :okay:

man. you guys need to take it easy on deadlifts/rack pulls

how many pulled somethings is that in the last 2 weeks!?

SkinnyPupp 11-02-2011 08:35 PM

No doubt. Know your body..

nns 11-02-2011 08:40 PM

Why did you do those first 3 sets? 135, 225, 245. 10 reps each, even. I would've just cut those down to 3 sets, 5 reps, done.

IMO, you're wasting energy on those first 3 sets. If you can do 10 reps each set, then just up the weight and cut the set in half.

LOL, I just realized, by the time you got to your last set of 300 lbs, you had already done 50 reps of rack pulls.

So Ive had a few real lack luster weeks lately. Fighting thru nagging injuries and generally just being worn out from too much working, not enough sleep, and work stress, finally leading to getting sick last week (for the first time in 4 years), so I took a week off to rest. :okay:

Squatted 185 tonite down from nearly 3 plates. And nearly passed out :yuno:

SkinnyPupp 11-02-2011 09:02 PM

Yeah I was wondering what was up with the lack of activity here RRxtar. I was gone for 4 months myself, I thought you'd be lost too!

I started almost exactly a year ago (grade 10), since then, i've seen beginner gains, and then some bulking/cutting randomly cause I wasn't caring about nutrition. But I've seen many gains ^_^

chest is finally going up, squats are stuck, rows are deadly

nonetheless , i pushed it and that's all that matters. :megusta:

Crank the heat in the shower and face away from the shower and let the hot water hit your back, or if you're going for a drive crank the seat heaters and let your back get toasty. I feel doing that loosens stuff up, and if I am feeling pain/discomfort, it fades away pretty quick.

strykn 11-02-2011 09:50 PM

damn havent done db presses for like 2 months, did 80x15 ... felt the mojo going got to the 100s thought i was a hero but couldnt load my self :okay: got a lift, cranked out 8 :fuckyea:

I would roll on a tennis ball on that specific muscle, see if it loosens it up

RRxtar 11-02-2011 10:03 PM

take 2 Robax Platinum (with Ibuprofen in them) and ice it and see how it feels in the morning

I just realized you did like 40 reps of rack pulls at near your max, then went for a record after that

:fulloffuck:

if you don't know your body, keep a log. and log everything.

I got lost...fuck stress and depression, was burnt out, took a week off! but now I'm back hitting it hard and work has been great, signed 3 new clients the past week, apparently oct was a party month? who knows.

Going to treat my self to some brand new jeans because legs are even larger, who knows where I can get some nice dress shirts that arent too long but has a nice cut? Is custom made the only way to go?

also, will need a volunteer for a PT workshop, someone who I would not know is encouraged for an assesment for my S&C cert. PM me youll get instruction from me, my instructor, and experienced athletes/lifters, Ill give you a 12 pack of whey shots.

numbers are looking foking great in here, keep pushing brahs.

It's the rhomboideus minor, help

very neglected muscle, as it is not as asthetically mirror seen when built but it's very important. Building strong traps and lower rhomboids fixes so much shit I can't even stress it enough.

Here is a link to get you started, T NATION | Reawaken Your Rhomboids
