its basically just dirt in a pill. but it basically contains a bunch of minterals

SkinnyPupp 11-13-2011 07:25 PM

I'm surprised such a low dosage does anything noticeable. But even if it is a placebo, that's great! Nothing wrong with placebos :)

So, What i like to think is chest back, and legs must be done within the week.

Should i be hitting my lagging parts twice a week? Struggling to find out what training routine works best for me.

Is there a list of importance? eg: back, chest, then legs, shoulders, arms?

truth 11-14-2011 10:25 PM

using this thread for inspiration and motivation, lots of good material in here. starting lifting more frequently a few months ago after joining steve nash. also started deadlifting and squatting after reading this thread and i'm seeing gains in strength.

thanks guys!

make sure your technique is right, otherwise you're going to end up in a lot of pain

truth 11-14-2011 10:31 PM

yeah, i made sure i started low to get the technique right and slowly added weights. went from 95-->155 x 6-8 in about 4 weeks.

I posted a good chest day a couple pages back but for me I keep it simple. Flat bench (DB or BB I switch it up each chest day) Incline Bench (same as flat) Cable fly's (varying angles) and weighted Dips ( 45 plate to failure then I quickly remove the weight and continue to failure again) I end every chest day with machine incline press drop pyramid one set going as heavy as I can for 10 reps and dropping down until I can't do 30lbs. I also switch each weak starting flat and incline so I'm not always tiring out the same section of muscle first.

Berz out.

TouringTeg 11-15-2011 10:29 AM

I used to do incline bench, flat bench, flys. Hadn't thought about switching up up starting with flat/incline that is good advice.

Swam lengths last night for the first time. A lot tougher than it looks! Did about 8 laps (400m) and was done for. Slowly mixing in more cardio.

Hey I got your PM the other day, not sure how I missed it. If you're heading to the gym in the late evenings let me know!

Phozy 11-15-2011 08:24 PM

If anyone wants to hit up some chocolate milk, its on sale at walmart for a $1 each for those 1litre jugs, you can buy as many as you like i think.

Worked my way up to 11 chinups :fuckyea:

hud 91gt 11-16-2011 11:06 AM

I don't know what that squat weekly challenge did to my squats, but i'm sure glad I did it.
I used to struggle 225 x 8 for three sets. Today I hammered out 225 x 12, 225 x 10, then a 275 x 5, and I don't even feel like I worked my legs. This whole workout thing is a mind game I swear! ha

Berzerker 11-16-2011 12:32 PM

The mind is the most important part of lifting. :) Get in the zone and just fucking lift hard!

Berz out.

trancehead 11-16-2011 12:52 PM

did 2 hours of hockey and on top worked out
flat benchpress, DB rows, dip with body weight. surprsingly i wasnt burnt out from the skating

my bench needs a lot more work on form :( damn elbows keep flaring out. its one thing im in constant focus on now

Splmash 11-16-2011 01:23 PM

My back is fuckin sore. And it feels great. Been doing a 6*6 thing for deads. Even though I'm only doing 3 plates on each side, it's fuckin tough.

Whats this challenge thing?

I am one of those guys who neglects lower body, but would love to start improving my squats and start doing some olympic lifts.

Berzerker 11-16-2011 03:04 PM

It's the workout weekly challenge. Look in the stickies. Each week is a new challenge to promote healthy competition and motivation.

Berz out.
