Just to add to that, don't forget the weight you leg press does not equal weight you can squat. I saw some kid in my gym collaspe under 3 plates and mess his back up, when we helped him up, his explanation was that he leg pressed 3 plates easy so he figured he could squat 3 plates easy.

gdoh 11-08-2011 11:03 AM

LOL no man im not that stupid i was just wondering if my leg press weight was good

ill prolly start squatting 25s to get a feel for it

You have a good physique you can tell what stands out just focus on parts that lag a bit

Been focusing on chest / shoulders mostly to help rebuild the damage caused by my accident earlier in the year. I work my back pretty hard but can't seem to grow wings like I want :yuno: Might need more Red Bull.

Sounds like you work your back well, what would you say are your top three exercises that bring results? I think at this point I've stagnated in my current routine and I need to switch things up to confuse my muscles again. Currently at 207lbs.

Starting GOMAD today, but starting at only about 1 liter first on top of my diet.
Like I told you guys earlier, I want to gain 15 lbs, its only been 1 week and Ive put on 4 lbs :buttrock: I know some of that is water, but Im hoping not all of it.

FYI, I tried this "Athletic Edge PreSurge" pre workout pills, and they suck, very little pump.

Fucking love smith machine rows. Very strict focus on form and squeezing shoulder blades together at the top

SkinnyPupp 11-08-2011 09:26 PM

I tried 2 scoops of WHITE FLOOD today and all it did was make me pee a lot, and give me a red face. I did find my HIIT to go better at the end, but I also started taking beta alanine again so...

I'm looking to start a new program... does anyone have one that focuses on shaping while on a bulk ?

mc25 11-09-2011 08:00 PM

Fuck,my weight gain has me dragging a bit. Any one have any tips on how to…er…handle the digestion of all this fiber and dairy???? I want to counter the regularness….

SkinnyPupp 11-09-2011 08:01 PM

Thought I tweaked my back doing cleans yesterday :heckno: but it's fine after sleeping. I don't really like doing that kind of lift

BrRsn 11-09-2011 09:52 PM

4 plate rack pull with shoulders today .. 5reps x 2 sets HHNNNNGGGGG ... can't wait till I can deadlift 4 plates :) My 2011 goal for deadlift

My mill press is kinda stuck at a low weight though ... feels bad :okay:

Am I the only one that gets the shits as soon as they slam their pre workout? I have it, and ten mins later it's like clock work lol.

Excelsis 11-09-2011 10:17 PM

how much do you guys do for barbell rows?
Posted via RS Mobile

BlackV62K2 11-09-2011 10:31 PM

Switched from BB to DB chest press today after not doing them for over 8 months.
1x5 @ 110lb DB
2x5 @ 115lb DB
1x5 @ 120lb DB

Followed by incline DB press with 95 & 100, some DB fly and cable crossover. Pretty solid chest workout.

Anyone workout @ the Burnaby Golds? I might try that gym out tomorrow.

BrRsn 11-09-2011 10:35 PM

^^impressive numbers brah

185 for 4 reps pendalay row style. (attempted 5 rep PR month ago, failed at 4 reps)

155 5x5 currently (last time I worked out).

I've noticed since I started doing pendelay rows with a wide grip (same as bench grip) my bench has gone up, go figure.

@ phozy .. I don't wanna post again cuz I already posted twice on this page, but I started doing rotator cuff exercises, and started doing more barbell exercises, and I stopped getting randomly hurt on shoulders.

I did the above and did more barbells, got my shoulders stronger, now i can handle dumbbell exercises.

Phozy 11-09-2011 10:37 PM

I still fear doing chest or shoulders, my right shoulder just wont hold up.

Anyone have some should rehab/strengthing excersizes i should do?

rJZx 11-09-2011 10:41 PM

^Depends how bad your shoulder is I really recommend taking time off working out... as soon as your shoulder develops a real problem it really fucks up your lifting career and youre never gonna be 100% again.

and im assuming its probably your rotator cuff?

TouringTeg 11-10-2011 05:55 AM

dhillion never had that. Good luck on 4 plate DL

Alpha: I barbell row 185lbs 3x5 (weight 199lbs)

BlackV6: Damn impressive numbers. Hell my gym only goes up to 110lbs lol What do you bench press?

JDął 11-10-2011 09:28 AM

Phozy - did you suffer some kind of injury with your right shoulder? If so what happened? Might give us some insight on how to help you bring it back to life.

Did a bit of an endurance test lastnight. Did strictly squats, flat bench, and deadlifts and focused very hard on my form and making sure I was flexing and holding through each rep. Not gonna lie I think I almost shit myself on my last set of deadlifts, I was completely exhausted. It hurt getting out of bed today but after loosening up in the shower I feel supercharged! Here were my sets:

Spoiler!

We'll see how I feel tomorrow when the stiffness really hits. I think I might do this once a week, rotating which exercise I do the full pyramid set and gradually try and increase the weight.
