something i did unconsciously to improve grip, when your moving plates around the gym hold a plate in each hand with your fingers ( like hooks) and just farmer walk when loading up bars

RRxtar 11-17-2011 06:01 PM

^always do that!

plate in each hand. use the plates that have like a half inch lip on the plate and carry it by that with 3 or 4 fingers.

Was looking forward to DLing again on my back workout today.....look outside and it's snowing. Fuuuu! :okay:

Berzerker 11-17-2011 08:02 PM

I need to change my routine up but I'm at a loss as to how to make it all work together. I don't feel like I'm getting enough of a workout in anymore. Might start doing splits again. Going to be a struggle for time though.

Berz out.

Phozy 11-17-2011 09:15 PM

Agreed... let me know what youre doing and ill try and follow along, im bored of what im doing haha.

Thinking of the classic back and triceps, chest and biceps, legs and shoulders.

saw some guy use the straps deadlifting 1 plate tonight, same douche who leaves the weight on everything and leaves

Both of them turned to me and said "we are personal trainers, you dont need to tell us how to lift... we know"..
I'm pretty sure they think I'm juicing since I'm putting on weight while they look the same they always do. They also wear those phaggytime skin tight polyester shirts.

what you guys wear then? I assume you mean these underarmor shirts - they are really comfortable tho :alonehappy:

lots of ppl just grip the bar like normally, have you ever actually FUCKING gripped the bar i mean it almost hurts, you would be surprised how much that helps.

hx2gls 11-17-2011 10:47 PM

Maybe that is (part of) the problem with my grip strength. I normally just make hooks with my hand and let the bar sit on my fingers.

Excelsis 11-17-2011 10:51 PM

who cares what you wear in the gym :suspicious:

it's a white shirt and shorts/sweatpants for me..

i wear under armour compression fit tee's to the gym

and i agree they're really comfortable

it doesn't get in the way or bother my skin during a workout and doesn't smell as bad as a cotton tee shirt would

Supafly 11-18-2011 07:00 AM

dont you guys like wearing under armor so your 120lb frame looks "huge and cut" ......:troll:

XL lululemon v necks

RRxtar 11-18-2011 08:01 AM

i went from sweatpants and tshirt. to shorts and beater. to shorts and underarmor shirt

if you've never worn one, try it, you wont go back to a tshirt. they are cool and breath so well. and they dont move around at all.

plus i wear sleeveless ones. so im billy bad ass showin my guns in the gym. :alonehappy:

Splmash 11-18-2011 08:33 AM

Most of the bigger guys at my gym wear saggy tees or sweaters. It's mostly little fobs and skinny Asian kids wearing UA.

I wear my UA cold gear or Nike pro fit when it's cold outside :)

Cheap Long-sleeve Champion polyester junk from Costco. They were like 12 bucks a pop, paired with shorts. I'll go with a T shirt if i'm not planning on doing any cardio, but I can't stand a wet t shirt sticking to me. The polyester breathes so well.

Supafly 11-18-2011 09:33 AM

lol...i just go in a Vneck tee and some sweats....Usually have a sweater on until i get warmed up.

TouringTeg 11-18-2011 10:27 AM

lol billy badass. I bought a couple Nike Pro Fit shirts a little over a year ago. They were lose, but now that I have gotten bigger they are becoming too tight in the arms are becoming restrictive.

Squat 300lb x7. But chest needs work. I bench 205 and really want to hit 2 plates!

Berzerker 11-18-2011 10:48 AM

I'm stuck at 2 plates for 5 reps :(

Berz out.
