i've understood Kroc Rows to be dumbell rows but hauling fuckin ass tearing the shit out of the weight for upwards of 20 reps, the last 5 or so being real cheaters

The "Kroc row," as Jim Wendler dubbed it, has caught on. Its purpose, Matt tells me, is to help grip strength for deadlifts and build upper back size.

But everyone wants to know: why so many reps?

"Because I ran out of weight. And because no one else will do it."

Anyone here done Intensity? Starting soon... :)

Tegra_Devil 05-26-2010 08:33 PM

hey guys...

my left knee has been killing me this past week.

im usually running 30 minutes at 8 spd on a 2 incline...before each workout(every second day)...and it has been killing me

now i can barely run 10 minutes doing the same stats...
whats a decent alternative? ive been doing the rowing machine and some 15 minute power cycles on the bike, and my knee is fine...but i just dont get the same sweat as i do running.

anythign else?

DC5-S 05-29-2010 03:06 PM

get your test levels checked before u take it, then u know 4 sure if its doing anything

penner2k 05-31-2010 12:19 AM

It depends... Sometimes its like 3 or 4 days... other times its been like 2 weeks..

Got into a car accident. I feel fine right now but I hope this does not impede my workouts later on.

van_driver 05-31-2010 11:48 AM

I'm 6'0-6'1 and 172 lbs

Been working out almost every second day for about a year now.Haven't noticed any big changes, probably because I don't watch my diet, eat junk food and drink pepsi all the time. Any tips? thoughts? Good meals to eat?

Thats light for your height…you should be over 200, unless you want to be a twig.

5'10", 190lbs

I'm no heavy weight, but I am definitely around my desirable weight. I wouldn't want to gain too much more. When pumped after a workout I actually think I look too big. If I could gain 10 more pounds of muscle, and loose 5lbs of fat i'd be quite happy with my physique, and wouldn't want to go any heavier.

hal0g0dv2 05-31-2010 02:30 PM

U look to big ?

For what I want myself to look like yes. I don't want to look like a big intimidating meathead :p Not that there is anything wrong with that, just not what i'm going for.

did back tonight, was a pretty solid workout

incubus 05-31-2010 08:44 PM

pretty good workout today went back to preworkouts need a jumpstart after work lol

mc25 05-31-2010 08:47 PM

Ya, I did a solid back workout today, threw in a little core and chest too.
Did lat pull downs, wide grip pull ups, cable delt row, weighted delt row, some shrugs, and explosive should pushes. Didnt do much for lower back unfortunately, ran out of time.
