Trevor Linden is following the path of Steve Nash, opening his own gym in early 2011, first location is in Coquitlam... Apparently offering membership from just $15 a month, with $20/mo for "elite" memberships. Gonna be a shitstorm:

I had a decent workout..starting to get back into it, summers over, time to buckle down and get back to routine.

I hear a lot of talk about 1MR, are you using this as a pre workout? I remember trying a sample and felt jittery afterwards.

1mr is good man

I see.. one squat rack and a gazillion treadmills.

gdoh 09-08-2010 10:42 AM

wow no wonder its 15 a month there charging you to run

DC5-S 09-08-2010 12:06 PM

"Register soon at Club 16 for as low as $14.99 per month at any one club"

so with that membership it seems like you can only enter the club in which you signed up at.. thats fucking retarded

Tegra_Devil 09-08-2010 03:28 PM

thats a tiny gym....though its going in near where i live...maybe i should dump my fitness world pass, since its way closer to me than FW

hud 91gt 09-08-2010 03:30 PM

Started to try a light bulk. The last 2 days I haven't been afraid of carbs and have been eating whatever I want. It's 7:30pm and I'm downed a total of 2100calories! WTF When I was trying to cut I was having trouble getting under 2400 a day. This shit is all mental I tell ya! Time to cook up a package of sausage.

*edit* for anyone that was hesitating to order from wheycheap.com due to customs fees/tax etc.. THERE IS NONE!! you dont pay anything when it arrives at your door!!!! after calculations each pharm assault cost me $32!!!! that is an insanely good deal.. im only going to order from wheycheap now..

You guys with the MP Assault, have you tried 1MR?

If you have, let us know the differences you feel. Even if you haven't, post up how it went. I'm interested in MP Assault after I polish off my 1MR (which will take a while..lol)

that gym looks weak

SkinnyPupp 09-08-2010 08:31 PM

Woke up at noon today after a not-so-good night of sleep. Trying to wake my brain up for today's workout. I start WEEK 3 today! Last week of my 'get ready' phase.. then I can really start to go to work :)

Breakfast will be a chicken steak with some tomatoes, and a banana. Already had a whey shake.

I like to time it so I get to the gym right after 2pm. Then the huge lunchtime rush of the 9-to-5ers is just finishing up and I get the gym to myself :)

SkinnyPupp 09-09-2010 12:10 AM

HOLY FUCK I had a fantastic workout.

I'm not going to attribute the pre workout drink, as it could be more likely that I am just hitting my stride. Awesome!

cutting carbs entirely is overrated. you deplete ur bodys energy source. just eat clean carbs and up the intensity at the gym and workout harder. you may look slightly more bloated in the mirror but unless its summertime/ur competing or w.e... u risk not being able to reap the full rewards of a solid workout

just sayin... its a lot of work to look shredded all year round... even more work to put on mass while being shredded without eating carbs

decent day at the gym.....big face palm to the goof who was doing wrist curls in the squat rack

I agree with this, I tried cutting carbs down to very minimal, and I lasted about a week.. However even though I'm still eating cleaner carbs (brown rice, sweet potatoes etc) I've lost a few pounds, maybe just water weight/some fat? But still slowly making gains at the gym

RRxtar 09-09-2010 02:38 PM

you cant just stop eating carbs all together

drastically cutting carbs may work in theory, but anyone who works any sort of a job or goes to school or does anything with their life beyond showing the world their abs or being a keyboard trainer NEEDS a reasonable amount of carbs a day, not just complex, but sugars as well.

the key is to maximize the efficiency of the carbs you take in. and take in what you need and not overload them.

hal0g0d are you bigger than Berz? :P just curious haha

DaFonz 09-09-2010 04:26 PM

Cycle your carbs - on rest days, eat less. On workout days, eat more.

Starting to stall in my squats.. arggg. Ah well, another day.

Workout
Clean and Press 110lbs x 3 x 5
Squat 245 x 5,4,3 (fuck)
Deadlift 245 x 5

PR for clean and jerk with 135 x 1.
