prob not worth the risk/trouble IMO

just time this trip as a cycle off

Hey guys, I think this has been asked before in this thread but I dont wanna search through 93 pages..

How long do you stay on creatine for before you cycle off? And when you're off do you switch to something else, or are you just off everything?

hal0g0dv2 06-22-2010 07:29 PM

You should take 4 spoons of 5 grams 5 times a day - totally 20 grams a day for 5 days in a row. After that take only one spoon of creatine once a day, in days you work out take a spoon of 5 grams of creatine before/after the workout.
You should drink alot of water, and you are going to run to the toilet all the time, on every 5gram of creatine you should drink 1000ml of water.
After 8 weeks you should stop with the creatine for 1-2 months until starting again.

Im on an endurance run… 3 sets of 25/20/15 reps, at about ~45-55% max. Going to do this for 1-2 weeks, change up the routine a bit. Then Im going to change over some major exercises, back up to 8 reps weight at about 75-85% max. I think I am in a bit of a rut and need to change it up, havent been feeling it as much.

hal0g0dv2 06-22-2010 09:08 PM

i had the worst chest workout today..... could barley do 2 plates for 12 reps witch is normally easy, i think its cause im low on the carbs

sonick 06-22-2010 09:11 PM

Yeah man what a difference with fewer carbs. I am doing a quick cut (slight calorie deficit with mainly chicken, fish, spinach, oatmeal and quinoa) for my upcoming trip, and all my lifting and stamina this week has been suffering.

Probably one the best gyms I've been to and still continuing to be at. Then again that's my take on it.

TONS of hammer strength equipment. They only have one fully enclosed power rack, one open power rack and I guess you can add in one smith machine as well. Honestly, you shouldn't be too worried about not getting your chance at the racks if you go at the right times.

Dumbbells go from 5lbs - 150lbs. The lower dumbbells from 5lbs - 30 lbs have increments of 2.5lbs as well instead of 5lb increments.

Gabi: They only have two hammer strength and power racks but the DB goes to 150 which is nice. The gym is decent, it can get crowded around the free weight area

mc25: I'm about 5'9-5'10. 295 is max, i can push out 2-3 reps but I do about 245 normally

I've been going to Golds in Burnaby on and off for the last couple years. the quality and quantity of equipment is better than any other gym i've been to.

I agree, it's pretty good. It lacks women. I went to Steve Nash DT for a month last year because my buddy had a free pass and they have some nice equipment!

What I dont like about Steve Nash is the price. My buddy signed up and was paying about $100/mth, whereas I'm paying about $40/mth

Dont know about you, but like i said a few posts up, i stopped getting a really good sore after a workout, so now I am switching up the routine… gotta do it every so often.

DC5-S 06-23-2010 05:16 PM

I ALWAYS get sore haha, 95% of the time, My biceps are a tiny bit sore and sorta my back.. but not how it usually is.. i dunno it just seems like deadlifts really hit my upper and lower back HARD.. but its hard to do them when its busy in the gym and you gotta wait for machines etc and people walking around.. oh well its only one day

hud 91gt 06-23-2010 05:29 PM

I can never get my chest, biceps or lats sore.

I can barely walk after leg day. My back is pretty sore after a heavy back day(Besides lats). But my chest, biceps and lats are never sore. My i get more sore off pushups then I do after some heavy chest work.

BlackV62K2 06-23-2010 06:01 PM

Gotta take at least 3-4 days off....fuckin cold!!! Sucks not being able to hit the gym. I normally workout 5 days week.

Question for you guys:

Is being 'sore' the goal when you're bodybuilding? Or, do you just feel being sore indicates an efficient workout?
