One thing I like about my gym is that it only closes once a year (CNY)

neggo 12-25-2011 02:54 PM

A well deserved rest day for me on Christmas day. I'm eating all the shit I can eat...will burn it in absolutely no time once I get back to my regular diet.

Happy holidays and happy eating, everyone!!!

Excelsis 12-25-2011 07:02 PM

hmm, I just realized

i'm not the wealthiest, I don't go out partying, I don't go out drinking but I sacrifice all those things to spend time weightlifting, thinking about different aspects associated with the human body, and spend time perfecting my taekwondo moves and patterns
Some called my life boring but it's like how can I live a day without getting better and climbing higher and higher to the top

^^Agreed. People can call it what they want, regardless of what you're goal is..to lose weight, to get more lean, to bulk etc. In the end if you're not willing to make a lifestyle change then you won't get too far.

Haven't been to the gym in 2 days due to holiday hours, feel like I'm losing muscle by the second :(

rJZx 12-25-2011 07:46 PM

^random fact but I remember hearing that arnold once skipped his own fathers funeral to workout... now thats a bit too far IMO. but hey has the mr olympia title and i dont.

Excelsis 12-25-2011 07:49 PM

watch the behind the scenes of pumping iron, a lot of what he said wasn't true and that was one of the things.. Movie was meant to be a docudrama and Arnold was given the cocky role since Lou Ferigno had a shallow childhood etc..

I dont bother trying to explain to people why I have to leave for a couple hours to goto the gym.

I hear all kinds of things like "you're missing out on so much of your life by going to the gym" I simply say "thats where you're wrong" and walk away now.

XplicitLuder 12-25-2011 08:17 PM

for all of us fatties out there..THERE IS HOPE!

so true, as mean people think i am but i really dont want to spend 20 min telling them about my going to the gym and how working out is allot diff from the avg bear lol

Excelsis 12-25-2011 09:03 PM

yeah lol, try explaining to someone who doesn't lift why you'd practice 5 hours a day or more
