I have barely been able to walk for the last 2 days... It sucks! I have to watch my volume a bit more for legs. I have been wanting to increase leg volume since I have stopped doing any cardio, but that was too much :lol |
leg volume seems like the hardest thing to get on top of. a month or 2 ago when i changed to volume for legs, the first week took over a week for the doms to calm down. was stupid. |
So you're saying that the DOMS got better even though you maintained relatively level volume? |
yea. i squart on tuesday. generally thursdays is the worst for doms. wed and fri are equal. by saturday im good to go. it took a couple weeks after swiching from weight to reps before i got back to that pattern. |
OK I'll try similar volume, but just on another day other than squats. I do legs 3 times a week, so I am thinking Day 1) Deadlifts (nothing else) Day 2) Squats, Leg Curls (either with a machine or with a ball (yes a ball)) Day 3) Good Morning, Leg Extensions That gives the extra day rest right before DL which is handy. Or would it be better to have an extra day recovery after DL? hmm |
i do my big leg day (squats, ham curls, leg extensions, calfs) on tuesday, and deadlift on friday or sat (depending on if im doing 4 or 5 days that week). |
