to those getting the HT Visa - there is a 10 transaction a day limit. found this out when transactions declined while out of town.

Any other no fx fee cards out there?

RFD thread has 110pages on Brim, and not one person has gotten the card. I brought this up a few pages back, and was quickly informed that it could be no more than just vapor ware

It's a scam. Read the RFD thread.

I got my PIN today; let's see if I get my card before you do:lawl:

Also, it was just under a month ago since I applied.

I have been using the home trust card for the last 2 months, and it has no tap function which I think it's quite convenient to have. And yesterday I couldn't use the card at the McDonald's self kiosk machine. It didn't let me chip, swipe or tap. Weird

Im okay with the low limit. Seems like other card holders have low limits as well. Ive got 3 cards over 10k, so i dont really care.

For those looking for a No Foreign Transaction fee card, I just came upon this while checking in for my flight.

China Airlines World Mastercard
Free Annual Fee
2500 bonus World Dynasty miles after first purchase in 3 months (airline's own FF mileage)
No Foreign Transaction Fee

Link Here

The card itself is issued by First Bankcard, subsidiary of First National Bank of Omaha. Wikipedia shows that it's the largest private in USA. Personally, I've never heard of it.

roastpuff 06-27-2018 08:42 AM

That's a USA only card, looks like.

iwantaskyline 06-27-2018 10:18 AM

Anyone else get the Rogers World Elite Mastercard? Just got mine in the mail.

It's not a true no FX card but with the 4% foreign transaction cash back it basically is...

^Yup just started using it this month after I had their old Platinum Card (which they downgraded). The forex thing seems to be good, you just have to call in and ask them to cash out your points in January if that's what you want. Otherwise, it's just points to be used on your Rogers/Fido bill I believe.

^^ Don't think that is true -- on the credit card website, you can change the rewards setting so that the next purchase will use the reward money you have on the account first -- provided you have at least $20 in rewards. I think you can also back-claimed the reward amounts on any purchases that you have made.

And I think you can do it as often as you want, assuming that you have at least $20 in rewards money each time.
