I don't know about that, I spoke to the rep. on the phone, they said if you want you reward points cashback to you at the end of the year you have to phone in every year to do so.

Who knows, I've yet to get the cashback so I'll get back to ya'll in January.

iwantaskyline 06-27-2018 01:50 PM

^I read the exact same thing. You must call in before Dec-January to get your cashback or else you have to wait a full year.

Nlkko 06-27-2018 05:39 PM

You have to call in once a year for the Rogers card to redeem for statement credit. The auto-redeem is for Rogers's products only, i.e. your phone bill.

Home trust visa....

Got my card today...
Got my pin last week.

Applied for it, probably a month ago at most

Folks, just give the website a shot.

In the orange box on the right, click [VIEW & REDEEM NOW]. Then from the new window, click [Pay with Rewards]. And then under your [PURCHASE MINIMUM], click [Enable only for next transaction] or something along those lines. You need to have $20 or more in rewards before you can do this.

Nlkko 06-27-2018 05:58 PM

Yea you try it. It doesn't work for non-Rogers products. Their language is a bit misleading on that site and app.

I tried it and got paid last time when I was ordering some stuff on eBay. I'm coming close to the $20 mark again, so I'll give that another shot soon.

I noticed Amazon.ca is promoting the zero fx Brim mastercard...

According to a 173 page rdf thread, stay away for now.

I guess it's too early to tell, but any issues with it? Anyone else have this card? Rogers is pretty reliable, right?

Gh0stRider 08-25-2018 01:54 PM

Brim said im approved and card is on its way

FerrariEnzo 08-25-2018 03:04 PM

Went to Disneyland using the HomeTrust Visa, was great until I realized that there was a 10 transaction limit.. lmao I was stuck out at the parking didnt know why my card was declined.. had to use my BMO MC for Lyft ride back to the place I stayed... dayum...

Nlkko 08-25-2018 03:04 PM

I have the Rogers W/E card. 0 issues. Low limit though only 10k. Can only redeem statement credit once a year on non-Rogers purchases.

Traum 08-26-2018 10:54 PM

How strict are they on the Rogers World Elite card? (I think) I have a good credit score, but I probably don't meet their income requirement because I'm bum.

roastpuff 08-27-2018 08:01 AM

They're pretty strict. They asked for a paystub when I applied.

CivicBlues 08-27-2018 08:26 AM

I had the previous Fido Card. I just told them I wanted to upgrade when the World Elite came out in June this year. They asked if I met the income requirements, I said yes (I do) and that was it. Nobody asked for any verification.

I have the Rogers Platinum, and they asked to see proof of income when I asked to get upgraded

LOL. So you never even had this card to begin with?

I did the online application and within 3-4 days I got the acceptance email. Nobody called asking for any verification's. Also, as previously stated by numerous people you can only redeem once a year (December) or Rogers/Fido products.

I have the card before they watered down the perks, and the applicaiton was a straightforward process. But now that the basic card's rewards are crap, I haven't used it for anything since. I also haven't really looked into upgrading the card into their World Elite version until now.

Gonna find some time to call in and see what happens. Worst case is they turn me down.

CorneringArtist 08-27-2018 04:13 PM

Just got the Home Trust Visa after about 3 weeks. PIN came about 3 business days before the card itself. Wasn't aware that it has a 10 transaction limit, so I guess I have to take it easy when on vacation.

Some credit card application sites arent too friendly if you're using a VPN

If anyone is banking with Simplii, I recommend getting their new cashback visa.

https://www.simplii.com/en/credit-ca...back-visa.html

No fee, just have to be a Simplii member. Friend signed up with Simplii just to get this card.

4% off restaurants and bars (10% for four months)
1.5% off gas, groceries, and pre-authorized payments
0.5% off everything else

I plan on using this card exclusively for restaurants. My Dividend Infinite with CIBC is better for everything else.
