does those expensive screen protector work? those one sold in the mall for $30-40 bucks. Any reviews?

^^I got one of those zagg shields for my white iPad 2. It works well but it turns yellow over time and the yellow really shows on the white iPad. They charge you something like 10 bucks for a replacement but I never bothered.

I have one hairline scratch on top where my camera and speaker grill are located and I'm 100% sure it was like that out of box which this one was a replacement from my original iphone5 due to that one scuffed out of the box.

i bought a spigen tempered glass screen protector.. never got to use it as i got a new doa exchange from rogers and sold the phone.. can't stand it

I work in constriction, no case no screen protector from day 1, minor micro scratches

Not mad though due to...it being a phone..

Yup. Facebook app is crashing all the time now. Other apps seem fine.

On Rogers and been having a few issues with making calls since the 6.0.1 update. If I call my wife sometimes the call fails immediately and I have to hit "Call Back" to place the call. Other times hitting Call Back doesn't do anything and pressing my wife's name in the Favorites list doesn't either. If I exit the Phone App and go back in, pressing my wife's name now makes the call.

Anyone else getting this? Never happened before the update.

Also, there's an iCloud issue going on. Did a password reset for my iCloud e-mail, answered security questions and was notified password was successfully changed. However, new password doesn't work - and if you try again same result. Called tech support and they're aware of the issue. Since this is a new device, couldn't be bothered to wait and just created a new iCloud e-mail. This works fine - it's the password reset that causes trouble.

^ a friends iPhone did that on ios5. Fixed after a restore. Both mine and my gfs are fine on new update with Rogers

Not sure if it's related or not, but I've been having the same issues with iTunes. Had to reset my password and encountered the same problem. Tech support told me to reset the password again and still the same issue. Oddly enough, though, I left it for a day and used the new password and it worked.

either my 5 is a lemon, or this is a fucking step back for apple..

my phone has been shitting the bed hard lately, every 2nd page i need to stop and re-refresh, today half my texts are not going through then they send a couple hours later

Wifi only works half the time, and not at all for some apps like instagram and twitter

fuck this shit.. need to make an appt with apple and get another phone, will I be given a new phone if i explain these basically "intermittent" problems to them? I've had iphone 3, 4, and now 5, so i kinda know how it works/what to expect, and so far the 5 has been utter shit for me..

i still have my ios 5 thats JB...i'm pretty happy with that...

My 4S has been laggy as fuck since going to iOS 6, simple things like pressing send on a text message makes the phone freeze up for like 5 seconds.

I'm having similar problems with my phone, apps crashes and sometimes the phone would randomly turn off then restart. My reception sucks ass, it's always "No Service" and disconnects at my house. I have to put on airplane mode on/off before it grabs the reception again. WiFi seems to be on-off too, sometimes its a good connection, sometimes it doesn't even load(even though my computer's wifi works perfectly)

Frustrating..

My wrt500n has basically every port open and sits 5 feet away from where I use my phone most

Maybe ill try a restore with it and see what happens, super unhappy with this phone

I too have noticed that this phone is inferior to the past iphones.

Seems like there is a memory leak or something along those lines, because after a week or so of not restarting it, it will feel slow. Or it will hesitate. So far, I've had springboard crash on me while opening facebook. This is the first time I've ever had that happen and I've used iphone 2g and iphone 4.

Also still super disappointed that whatsapp has not bothered updating to iphone 5 screen size.

^lol those guys at whatsapp ain't gonna do much in terms of improving their software. They just coasting off their $$$ knowing that they are the no. 1 messaging app. They only became no.1 because they were the first ones to make a messaging app.

Their interface is ugly and has useless buttons (why would anyone need their phone contact list there?). You can't delete people and can only add people via phone number which is old school by today's standards. THEY HAVEN'T EVEN UPDATED TO MAKE THEIR NOTIFICATION SYATEM WORK WITH IOS5 PROPERLY!

IMO. The best messaging app is kakaotalk in everyway other than a user base of non-Koreans. The team comes out with great updates often that are big features most of the time (ability to make phone calls?). You can add contacts via phone number, username, or qr code and you can back up and save your contact list in case u switch phones or numbers. It has great emoticons too.

I really wish whatsapp would die off so I can stop using it.

Yea I loved whatsapp when it came out but found other messaging app but be more updated and have more feature. Most of my friends use weixin or wechat now which is updated for ios6 and ip5 and it's free for all platforms.

I think the only reason y whatsapp didn't die off yet is because of the last online status and the msg read status. I find myself unable to pull away from whatsapp for this reason. I guess I love stalking ppl

My wife uses wechat and it is a stupid bloated piece of shit. She only uses it because some of her friends can't read english, so they use voice messages. Other than that, I don't know why anyone would use it.
