I'm positive at the end of the day he's going to decide to stick around and play. Luongo doesn't seem like the type of guy to bitch out and walk away. |
Penner with Sedins would be interesting, Penners biggest downside is he goes into big slumps Posted via RS Mobile |
Say no to pay check penner talk about a useless bum man you guys are grasping at straws if that's what we're considering as a fix for an already underachieving team with too many players who disappear for long period of time Posted via RS Mobile |
as other RS'rs mentioned before, call up peter mueller from the florida farm team. they only payed him 1.75 last year |
come on damien brunner |
Lu will play, say he's doing it for the fans despite personal feelings and become even more beloved. Boom, jersey hanging in the rafters. |
if we can get him for 1m that'd be good depth |
I wish we can get brunner, but he's looking for 3mil a year Posted via RS Mobile |
Sounds like everybody hopes of winning a cup here is long gone with this core... go kings go :troll: |
Not bad not bad.. |

^ This is true. We're far from a joke and can still contend. So many factors in play when it comes to playoffs. Any team that is rolling and healthy can win the Cup. That's what makes the playoffs so great. |
we just need some rookies to step up for once and then we will have even a bigger chance |

in the canuck organization, rookies stepping up = tradeddddddddddddddddd |
Shinkuruk reminds me a bit of Phil Kessel |

He'll play, he has no other viable option. |
And if he retires, the Canucks are still left with his cap hit, right? That would be the ultimate troll move.. retire for a year, sign with the Oilers, sweep the Canucks in round 1 in 2015. Oilers become the next Penguins, Canucks still stuck with an extra $5.3 million on their cap for the next 10 years or whatever it is :troll: |
Pretty sure Lu's deal was signed at the age in previous CBA where if you sign once you retire your cap hit is gone if you were 28 and under or somthing no? |

He's pissed at not getting paid and going to a new team at the same time. He missed out on getting paid 27 million and signing another major contract. Roberto Luongo is 34 years old on the buyout date of July 20, 2013, setting the buyout ratio at 2/3 and the total buyout cost at $27,046,667 spread over 18 years. His contract was originally valued at $64,000,000 beginning in 2010 and ending in 2022, with $40,570,000 remaining from the buyout year forward. The following is a season-by-season breakdown of the buyout. A negative buyout cap hit indicates a credit. NHL Buyout Calculator |
Yeah it's kind of stupid not to buy him out if they don't want him. Sure they got a #9 pick out of it, but was that worth fucking someone over for 2 years? I am beginning to think the owner had a lot more to do with this mess than we even know. |
The last 2 years the way a whole bunch of players have been treated has put a bad taste in my mouth regarding the Canucks organization from GM on up. And Aquilini is a serious shyster in the business world, hell, right from the very beginning, he screwed people over to buy the team in the first place. |
