Boho, subban, shinkaruk and jensen as our next core :hat:

if they live up to their full potential SHIT!

murd0c 07-13-2013 01:20 PM

it feels so good to finally have a decent group of young players coming up after all these years of not much.

And I think this is why CoHo was the be all and end all for a lot of us. We simply had no one to replace him and all other prospects paled in comparison.

What I like about the subban pick is the family pedigree. When your brothers are already drafted /in the nhl the resources for your development are far greater than a player with no previous connexion to the nhl IMO, let alone when your brother is a star like PK is. The drive to make if seems even greater

I wouldn't get too excited bout that. For every Staal and Bure bros, there's a Gretzky and Lindros bros. Imagine the pressure on Brent Gretzky back in the day to perform? Even if he was 1/4 as good as Wayne, he'd still be an excellent player.

On top of that your forgot Gaunce. Someone who IMO has a higher chance of making the team over boho this year.

That you add Cassels, Anderson, corrado, and more.

like fedor fedorov and steve kariya?

highfive 07-13-2013 11:52 PM

Didn't Fedor Fedorov do pretty well for a short period of time? He had the skills and size but lacked the effort.

Steve Kariya was just...lol

radioman 07-14-2013 12:01 AM

^I recall fedor sleeping in and not going to practices

Ronin 07-14-2013 12:17 AM

Well, shit...could you imagine what it's like to be Jared Staal?

His three brothers are multi-millionaire superstars. He's....only on the Hurricane's farm team because Eric's the captain of the big club.

Not really racist! 07-14-2013 12:30 AM

Speaking of the Staal brothers..... anybody have news on Marc and his eye? Last time I heard, his eye obviously won't be 100% ever again

He did end up playing a single game in the playoffs though...

AzNightmare 07-14-2013 01:35 AM

I find it interesting all 4 Staal brothers turned out to be exactly 6' 4"

I mean even the Sedins aren't the same height.

pastarocket 07-14-2013 08:34 PM

Subban has quite the personality. -like the video of him and some Canucks prospects at a Vancouver Canadians game. Jordan likes the Blue Jays cap. :)

Mike Oxbig 07-14-2013 08:37 PM

cant wait until WJC in dec :alone:

No taxes on paper but he'll be making some large donations to his Russian comrades whether he wants to or not.

pastarocket 07-15-2013 09:32 AM

Props to the Canucks for their long term efforts to help people in the community.

Getting the prospects to experience the caring culture of the franchise is good for these guys and also children. -good to see them spend some time with kids at Children's Hospital. :)

-gotta remind myself to continue donations to the Canucks for Kids Fund.
