I recall Brule saying he didn't want to play in Vancouver back in the day. Kid was as arrogant (and I could see why) as they came. He doesn't belong on any team's 3rd line. Kid is a bonafide sniper when given the opportunity. I'd like to see him given a chance, but I just don't see a fit. I'd love to be proven wrong though. Would pull a jeedee and rock Brule jersey in a heartbeat. lol |

MG was 100% bang on with his decision with Manny, hell i felt the decision came far too late if anything. As somone who watches pretty much every game there were numerous times where you could tell Manny was absolutely terrified of anything coming up around his eye, as well as timid going into contact. His faceoff ability was completely depleted and he was a liability on the ice i'd really love to hear what % of vision he actually has in that eye, IMO it's its below 75% which it almost certainly is, he's nuts to sign with another team. |

It's really too bad what happened with Manny. At the same time, it makes me worry about Kassian. The guy doesn't have a visor, and for a guy that's supposed to be relatively important with potential, I'll hate to see a freak accident happen. Posted via RS Mobile |
Jagr makes a Facebook video to give clues about the next team that he may play for. Jagr says this in Czech in the video: “As for my next job here in the NHL, I have to say that I see a lot of black," Jagr sent a message via video while pointing at the black glasses. Perhaps he is going to play for a team that wears black jerseys. -definitely not referring to BBC. :lawl: http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/n...eal-canadiens/ -from sportsnet: He apologizes to his hockey family for not posting anything for a while, but he was in a bad mood after the last game. He didn’t want to write anything negative. He knows there are a lot of questions. As of right now, he sees everything very “black-ly” (he’s trying to be a jokester… a play on words), but he will get back to everyone tomorrow about how, what, and where he might be next season. He tells everyone to be excited for tomorrow. http://www.sport.cz/hokej/nhl/clanek...di.html#hp-sez |

I'm not sure I see it in him, not at the NHL level anyways. He was blaming his lack of success with the Oilers on his relationship with dad. Let's not forget that it was COLUMBUS who gave up on the kid, their own #6 pick, before shipping him off to Edmonton. Not to say I don't want him to succeed though |
i remember the rumor about Nonis offering Schneider for Brule. But the Jackets gm (Doug McLean) declined. ... rather have Horvat as of today :troll: Posted via RS Mobile |

That is painful on the eyes. |
They should paint the ice black :troll: |
Tony Gallagher, aka Skeletor, writes another article to criticize the Canucks. In particular, his article questions the effectiveness of holding top players, the Sedins and Kesler, accountable. He says that it is "hogwash". What the hell is wrong with this guy??? He's had nothing but hate for the team and its management ever since the days Burke was the GM. I don't agree with his article. Torts made it clear that more is expected from the Sedins. He will hold them accountable for doing more things like killing penalties and blocking shots. Torts mentioned these things in his press conference with Vancouver media. If players make mistakes, Torts will call them out on it. It won't matter if its Captain Henrik or the fourth line player. He will make players accountable. Torts also mentioned that it's not all about yelling at players, and kicking stuff in the dressing room in order to send a message of accountability to the team. He made it crystal clear during the press conference. Torts is a coach that can help Horvat, Shinkraruk, Subban, Gaunce, Kassian etc. develop their game. Of course, Gallagher doesn't mention the coach's strength in this area. Skeletor just focusses on the media coverage of Torts' on camera persona. Although I don't think Gallagher has the guts to ask Torts questions during post game press conferences, I really hope Torts shouts some F bombs at this jerk when he asks a dumb question. Tony G is gonna be the new Brooksie. Here's the article: Gallagher: ?Holding players accountable? is utter hogwash |
how is TG still in this business? used to tune into team1040 on the commute home but i just can't stand his senseless rants anymore. |
