$5,000 fine if you get hauled in and no valid test... it's going away in 14 days though

It is a valid test from Fraser Health. You can provide a positive molecular test as long as you've recovered with no symptoms, and test was taken 10 days before you enter Canada. It's good for 180 days, and exempts you from on arrival testing.

I was unsure, and clarified with CBSA before making the trip.

Okay I see, that makes more sense then, post sounded a bit like you just flashed some old test… not that you had covid before and it was documented.

TJ employees probably working around the clock bracing for the storm lol

Totally off topic here but this is not the best advice. Amoxicillin is an antibiotic and should only be taken if you have a bacterial infection. Otherwise taking antibiotics unnecessarily is a bad thing generally to do.

My doctor has no problems prescribing it to me when I travel as a just in case.

You don't take it for fun, but if you get traveler's diarrhea it's certainly better taking it than being miserable for days straight.

By the way, I referenced the wrong antibiotic there, I actually meant azithromycin.

SSM_DC5 03-17-2022 12:14 PM

Maybe Doctor didn't care cuz he/she/they seen your pina colada and thought he can have whatever he wants.

Hondaracer 03-19-2022 10:57 AM

$10 USD turned a positive test into a negative in Mexico lol..not mine but someone in our party

They literally do not care at the PR crossing anymore... they don't even ask both ways if you're vaccinated anymore

I walked across the other day and on the way back heard some clueless girl in a blue X3 getting her ass chewed out for not having done ArriveCAN though, so they still seem to care about that lol

AzNightmare 03-20-2022 11:40 PM

I crossed PR on the weekend to pick up my tires.

I downloaded the app and signed up an account for ArriveCAN earlier in the week. In my head, I thought everything was done but silly me, on the way back the border guard said my Nexus isn't registered. Since I have to go into the office to pay taxes anyway, go get it done in there as well.

btw, Point Roberts Shell Center is good. 30% off on the storage fee if you fill up 10gal.
I tried to go as empty as I could, but my car only has 50L tank. So I only managed 8gal and was thinking that sucks.... But the guy there didn't care and gave me the discount anyway.

I also thought it was $4/tire, but the tires were bundled and shipped as 2 packages. So I was charged $4/package. Thought I would pay $16 USD but left paying $5.60 USD with the 30% discount.

:notbad:

apparently 5d is now by costcutters off truck crossing

blkgsr 03-21-2022 06:23 AM

did 5D move? they were always in that shitty mall just in behind the Shell

BIC_BAWS 03-21-2022 11:38 AM

5D had two locations. One in the shitty mall with fuckton of potholes with the grocery store. And the other one right on D street, by the Chevron.

blkgsr 03-24-2022 06:20 AM

ya that's what i thought. been that way long before COVID

Simplex123 03-24-2022 10:20 AM

It was there for the longest time, but now they consolidated into one store - closing the Peace Arch one.

AzNightmare 03-25-2022 02:29 AM

Starting April 8th, the one by the Peace Arch is gone.
Announcement is on their website.

Used to visit Seattle every couple months pre covid… how are we anticipating border crossing processes to be like this weekend with the entry requirements changing?

68style 03-30-2022 08:07 AM

Busy?

It was last time things were open... first couple days were crazy lineups... then it kinda settled down. Weather wasn't very good back then either...

Common sense - don't go to the border at 11am on a Saturday and expect to breeze through lol

JDMDreams 03-30-2022 12:29 PM

Go down on March 31 evening and just return after April 1 :accepted: :troll:

blkgsr 03-30-2022 12:36 PM

hell ya time to go get gas this weekend

Oscar_Binswood 03-31-2022 10:16 PM

After filling up on D Street in Blaine, I reset my range. It's exactly 4 kilometres from the gas station to my house :woot2:

MG1 04-06-2022 10:23 AM

Damnit…….. at Bellingham Costco. Looking forward to piling up the diced onions on top, between, and below the wiener. Ffs, no onions. I thought for sure US Costcos would have fresh onions. Nope. So disappointed, gulolol. Samples were given out. No sealed bags like up in Canada.

Trader Joe’s was empty being a weekday. Worker there said it was a nightmare on the weekend.

Winco was, meh. Picked up some plastic totes from Home Depot. They actually had the 7 gallon size. Perfect size. Home Depot in Canada has the 5 gallon euivalent, but they’re a little too small. Plus, they rarely have them in stock.

Anyway, going casino hopping. Free play offers. Silver Reef has free night stays during the week, but why? So glad borders are………………. Shit, haven’t crossed back into Canada. No jinx

mikemhg 04-06-2022 12:05 PM

The Canadian Costcos also stopped onions as well..

GLOW 04-06-2022 03:21 PM

does either CA/US costco still carry saurerkraut? they used to have it out there for you to pile on but recall they stopped that.

Sadly no, not in Canada atleast. $1.50 Polish loaded up with sauerkraut and onions was the shiz.
