Michalek is definitely a 3rd pair guy at this point. If he's in your top 4 when your lineup is healthy, that's not a good sign.

Edler isn't going anywhere unless he requests a trade. Like almost all Swedes they don't like moving around once they set roots.

I wouldn't trade either Tanev or Edler unless the plan is to tank again. They've been very good as a duo for the past 2 seasons.

If we had to trade one, it would be Edler as Tanev is simply much better (and grossly underrated; why do people keep mentioning him as trade bait? It's insane especially when you consider you'll never get fair value for him because he isn't flashy and isn't a marketable asset).

What I'm saying is that I don't think there will be any middle ground with this team. They won't be fighting for the 8th playoff spot come April.
