Team America is a running joke with Torts on the bench, while the Czechs are limited. Sweden and Finland are fun to watch, but they only have 1.5 good lines each. Team Europe is like watching my hockey heroes from 2006 again, which is good in some ways. Although they're getting a little older now.

Team Canada is playing great hockey, and Team NA is exciting to watch. I'm thinking that I agree 100% with you here. Team NA vs Team Canada would be my choice for the final.

What else would he say?

1) miller won't be able to handle the proper workload of a true #1 goalie. Even if he doesn't hurt himself the quality of his play drops right off if not enough rest

2) manage miller's starts, while continuing to tout him as your #1. Flip him for a pick or pale of pucks at the deadline.

The canucks realistically aren't set to do any damage given their competition in the west, it'll be another rebuild year regardless of what the vets say. Whoever is the labelled #1 goalie doesn't really mean anything.

when benning says that it makes miller happy so he wont be a grumpy prick. it also pushes markstrom more to take over. theres no problem with him saying it.

Can't see why they choose Torts other than to grab headlines in the US. Bettman selling the game by ways of other than just choosing a capable coach to simply win.

Benning shouldn't say anything and, if pushed, say it's up to the goalies and the coaching staff.

It's mid-September, nearly a month from the start of season, why does the GM need to announce a #1 at all? Not to mention this is while our #1 is at home while our #2 is winning World Cup games for Team Sweden.

Plus we just signed our #2 to a fat contract extension less than 3 months ago.
