I was just at the Willingdon one and same story... the usual suspects were stocking up on "supplies" while the majority of people were just there for their normal shopping.

FYI, for at least the Kirkland brand, both TP and Paper towel is made and distributed in Canada, so that theory about Chinese supplies etc. is moot.

I wanted fucking paper towel and it was all gone as well :rukidding:

One thing i noticed, which is kind of odd, was that all of their organic chicken was gone. Like, completely out of stock, the cold shelves there they usually are located had been re-stocked with various other items etc. Which i've never seen before

They had all the lillydale packaged breasts though

But literally nothing else, no thighs no wings, and none of the organic stuff

Interesting read about the Washington state cases from a genomic epidemiology view.

On Monday afternoon when I was there, zero chicken, ground beef, turkey. Only the big cuts of beef, and pork loins available. And the loin was going as quick as it was being put out

He’s so stupid all the time... literally All. The. Time.

A “solid” flu vaccine... as opposed to all the frail ones.... Jesus and he thinks nobody else in the world thought of that already? Hahahahaha

And then some moron yes man says “probably not” after someone else flat out said “no” so he doesn’t look as stupid and he bites on it like the “so there’s still a chance” scene from Dumb and Dumber.... lol

We are seeing local cases originated from Iran but yet to see anyone from Korea yet.
Interesting... considering how it has spread in korea like wild fire and we have koreans coming and going every days.

Wife mentioned the same thing when we went grocery shopping on the weekend. She mentioned something about they discontinuing the organic chicken.

Will have to do some digging on this topic as we like the organic chicken.

Great read. It seems like WA is at a critical point similar to Wuhan before widespread outbreak began since the study identifies undetected transmission that has been ongoing for weeks.

To those who are interested, Dollarama on Bridgeport has the Lysol disinfect wipes, $2.50 per bottle. There is about 20 left as of 1pm today.

Remember in January when I said that the benefit of being an authoritarian dictatorship where the people have no rights will lead to them being able to have some containment?

Turns out that the WHO thinks all countries should be like this

Just barricade everyone in their homes! They're gonna die anyway right

Edit: A few days ago, they praised countries like Hong Kong and Singapore for "measures that have not involved walling off cities or completely banning travel that have been very effective in both suppressing and driving transmission down."

So which is it?

To make matters worse, after all the pandering to China, possibly helping to make this a bigger threat than it needed to be, China is talking about making their own version of the WHO.

It's just the flu right? Possible cytokine storm...

Either that or they are just sending "recovered" people home to make room for more sick people

China is now attempting to rewrite history, as they are now saying the virus originated elsewhere (any guess on where they will say it came from?)

China's trying to take over the world...

obviously from hk protesters backed by Trump

hud 91gt 03-05-2020 06:36 AM

Are you saying they infect all their people. The weak die, the ones that survive are semi immune. Virus slowly leaks to the rest of the world. The whole world is bedridden and all the Chinese take world domination with their new found immunity while leveraging land power and money with their inventory of TP? I thought it was funny. Lol
