Bo can go wherever he wants at 8.5, that's too much and for too long... and I think he signed right away because he knows this year is an anomaly... don't get me wrong, I'm sure he will put out maximum effort for the Isles every minute he's on the ice, but all those tip goals? A sky high shooting percentage? Playing bumper on a stacked powerplay? No injuries (he usually gets hurt at least once a season)? He's just cashing in and I can't blame him.

Also it might only be $1M higher than Vancouver's offer... but it's a lot more when you factor in taxes. 20% vs almost 40%.... We are fucked trying to sign players to play in Canada.

It's funny that Bo said the stress is over when he doesn't even realize the stress he will have now.. Just think, he's the savior and will have to keep scoring the goals now. He can't go on 20 game goalless streaks like he has in the past, lets see him handle the stress from fans yelling at him for not doing the job he was paid for.

Lou Lamoriello, on Bo Horvat's contract, he agrees with everyone here ...

SkinnyPupp 02-06-2023 12:47 PM

ummmmmm what?

bobbinka 02-06-2023 01:14 PM

i think he just doesnt like the $ and length of contracts in general in the NHL today. he did what he had to to get Bo signed.

bobbinka 02-06-2023 02:09 PM

Yah, that's exactly what he is alluding to. Lou is OLD school but in today's world, you gotta 'pay to play'.

SkinnyPupp 02-06-2023 03:26 PM

Seems incredibly stupid to say that publicly

But whatever, Bo got paid either way

68style 02-06-2023 03:50 PM

So Uhm… was Bo like a wet blanket problem or something? Hahaha the Nucks looks so energized.

MarkyMark 02-06-2023 03:53 PM

I don't know the Canucks with an early lead isn't really a surprise it's the score at the end of the game that is the problem.

bobbinka 02-06-2023 04:12 PM

NJ fans chanting MVP, what a joke. Jack Hughes is 30 points behind McDavid, lol

68style 02-06-2023 04:52 PM

Well so much for that lol…

I honestly do not know what Myers is thinking pretty much any of the time

MarkyMark 02-06-2023 04:53 PM

There's the Canucks we all know and love.

Tank Tank Baby!

spoon.ek9 02-06-2023 04:54 PM

SkinnyPupp 02-06-2023 04:55 PM

I don't even have to watch the game, just the scoreboard on tsn.com is entertaining enough

spoon.ek9 02-06-2023 05:04 PM

schenner upping his trade value

SkinnyPupp 02-06-2023 05:17 PM

spoon.ek9 02-06-2023 05:24 PM

There is more stress playing in a Canadian hockey market than there is in the US market. Hockey is not their number one sport. I dont think it even cracks the top 3. Media down there cover more NFL, MLB, NBA.
