I think even if we take the most die hard US franchises it won't even compare. On a fan level in the arena yes it might feel close if not even more i.e. sold out games, crazy fan engagement, booing, cheering etc but anything outside of that is where it'll pale in comparison. Media coverage, amount of fan engagement online, radio etc.

Anthem singer in New Jersey did a fantastic job of both anthems. Good pitch control, well centred, good phrasing, and no unnecessary embellishments. Whats with today's anthem singer? In tune, but barely.............the worst kind. People with relative pitch might be able to deal with it, but those with perfect or near perfect pitch be cringing.

The New York Rangers acquired forward Vladimir Tarasenko from the St. Louis Blues on Thursday, Sportsnet can confirm.

In return, the Blues are reportedly receiving winger Sammy Blais and at least one draft pick. Defenceman Niko Mikkola is going with Tarasenko to the Rangers.
