i dont understand why you would use EG/DC shocks over EF shocks, they work so much better in a DA with so much less hassle.

Geoff you have pm

oohh_baby69 06-20-2005 04:48 PM

Finished my 4 link for the rx3 now comes the difficult part of cutting out all the old shit mounting the 4 link to the the roll cage and tubbing the whole back end

have you done this. id love to compare... sounds pretty dope.. thnx for the heads up

down_hill_dog 06-20-2005 05:35 PM

hey np... thank tommy on here for reccomending it to me. It was noticeably brighter on a completely black road. They are'nt quite as crystal WHITE, but they are still insanely white in comparison to regular headlights and theyre brighter.

This mod along with the foglight re-wire.... possibly the brightest headlights i've ever seen, not to mention your car has silverstar fogs aswell.

they are way too stiff for the TA bushing. take your rear wheel off and put a jack under the tire and jack it up and down and watch the movement of that bushing. it doesnt just flex but it twists too. it has to. if it didnt it would bind. thats why its not a solid rubber bushing from the factory. even the Mugen bushings are the stock rubber bushing with a collar on them. search g2ic on it. there was a huge discussion on it a couple years back.

down_hill_dog 06-20-2005 07:05 PM

replaced with new OEM ones would be GREAT, poly might be too much

jeffh 06-21-2005 07:31 AM

isnt that the idea behind the lube action tho?

RRxtar 06-21-2005 05:32 PM

lube just keeps it from binding in the collar.

the TA bushing needs to literally twist on several axies. not just 1.

you can not buy just the TA bushing from Acura anymore. you need to buy the whole Trailing arm. Im not 100% sure if you can buy EF bushings separate but they are smaller than the DA bushings. I cant remember if the EF bushing collar fits within the DA collar. Mugen uses, or used to, the EF bushings and adds a 2nd collar around them. contact Kingmotorsports for more information on them.

i looked into them quite extensively on my DA as my stock rubber ones were totally pooched.

w00t...picked up my oil pump (cleaned out my old oil pump pick-up and swapped it), and bought my connecting rod bearings. My buddy dropped off my head/pistons/crank and they shop said they're all w/in STOCK specs...which is wicked...meaning my motor's in good shape and all they'll need is cleaning/polishing/resurfacing...very mild stuff...should have all my iron back tomorrow night...hopefully will start putting stuff back together (still waiting on rings/main bearings...should only be a day or two) getting sooooooo excited :D

down_hill_dog 06-21-2005 08:19 PM

I'm glad my RTA bushings are in good shape still. sounds like a bitch of a cunt. LCA strut fork bushings, thats another story.. mine are FUCKED. Re-doing the suspension might be a good winter project.

Mod of today.... Installed a Suspension Techniques 3/4" rear swaybar. only problem now is that the lower tie bar dos'nt fit on anymore. baby needs some fabbing or the LTB is going forsale.

The rear sway, best mod i have done to any one of my cars. we'll see how it handles on thursday.

volcom69 06-22-2005 03:58 PM

yo craig..keep your eyes open for a set or just rear sway bar for my DC...thanx bud i have been looking for used ones in effort to save a lil cash

down_hill_dog 06-22-2005 04:57 PM

Good thing I dont run O2's :D

fourtirefire 06-22-2005 08:49 PM

it's kinda hit and miss.. some guys have run for a full year's worth of racing on purely leaded fuel with no issues, and some times they'll die right away.. it's usually not bad if you only run it on occasion.

down_hill_dog 06-22-2005 08:50 PM

does it go alot fassssssssssssssttttUrrrr?
