Well I guess it is time to leave rogers after 16+ years.

i had to cancel my plan and my wife's when we went away (both got new S5's in december when i set our dual plan up)

when i cancelled i was forced to buy out the phones....now that they are ours, should rogers unlock them for free? my understanding is that some carriers do. but we all know how big of a douche bag rogers can be. i originally asked and was told $50 each but i forgot to remind then agent that both phones had been bought out

Do yourself a favor and just unlock it online for $20. Calling and talking to Rogers is like talking to a brick wall.

All Rogers phones whether u get them on contract or bought outright come locked to Rogers. Most carriers are the same way.

the right thing to do is that the unlock should be done for free since you have finish paying off the phone.

but we all know rogers never does whats right. and if they can make money off it, well, good luck.

unlimited messages and minutes
shared for 145 plus taxes

called in a second time i saved 5 bucks

Right now I'm still with rogers, I'm waiting for the iPhone 6s to become more available before I leave. I haven't really looked into other carrier yet. Sometime you just need to find the right agent to get an awesome deal.

Called into retentions today to negotiate a new plan.
My contract is up in December, and my discounts/credits from my last renewal expired last month.

Was only able to get unlimited canada-wide call/text, +3gb data for $60+tax.
I didn't do a device upgrade, so I'll keep this as month to month and call in again to see what else can be done.

Remember to try calling in after 8pm. That seemed to work better for me. When you do an offer you like, get the reference number to refer back to.

Received the phone in the mail. It was the iPhone 6 and not 6 plus. So I called in unhappy had to send the phone back today. I'm 2 weeks without a phone. Gonna call in again and get my monthly cost reduce by 2 weeks

^ You should had asked if you can use the phone in the mean time and return it when the right one comes. If I remember correctly they give you x amount of min on the phone or x amount of days which ever comes first to return it.

Im on a$80 share everything plan now, gf wanted to leave rogers, since my plan was through rentions i decided to go through them and got a 40 dollar line attached on month to month. Since i have a oneplus 2 i decided to ger her a 64gb 6s plus, managed to get a 150 credit for adding the other line plus 55 dollars credit from my points plus 65 credit on my previous balance from rogers screwing up with my plan a couple months ago. So 270 credit total off the HUP. Then got the 120 apple care through rogers since apple changed there apple care pricing.

Pretty good deal now. Total 120 a month for two lines, share everything and 4 gb data.

i'm still on my $50 6gb 350 daytime 1000 incoming mins rogers to rogers unlimited txt, caller id and voicemail.. i've been on it month to month for a year now.. no way in hell i give it up.. i'd gladly pay to buy a new phone.. my alternative is to switch to my company's corporate plan with rogers but ends up paying about $25 extra just for the unlimited mins which i don't need anyways..

i stopped calling in to nego with them.. several friends called in and got fuked over coz they were playing around with their plan and can't even get it back.. it's been a few months for them and still not even resolved yet.

^ive been on the rogers 6gb super plan for about 68 after tax for a long time until recently, but i kept going over my minutes every month to the point that it was wayy cheaper for me to switch to the share everything. Plus i travel to Campbell river all the time so the extended coverage is a bonus!

Same boat, still on the $50 corp plan and loving it. My coworker managed to get them to give him a flextab and still keep his $50 on a month to month. It sounded tempting but I ain't risking calling in and having them eff up my shit so I'll just pay for a phone straight up.

Off topic, but my GF got invited to a Rogers small business appreciation dinner. It was held at the blue water cafe, which provided a 3 course meals; sea food platter, kobe ribs etc. I never got this treatment from rogers before lol
