Just switched to a new corporate Rogers plan. Happy to say that the price went down by $1 while the minutes and picture/text messaging got bumped up to unlimited (was previously 400 anytime and unlimited Evenings and Weekends).

Now paying $49/month before taxes with unlimited everything and 6GB of data. HUP (including iPhones) every 2 years.

cdizzle_996 05-26-2015 03:29 PM

Spoke to retentions last night for the second time this month. Both offered me 4GB Shared plan, unlimited everything for $70/month + tax.

Any suggestions on what to do to get a better deal?

Could you clarify what you got? you said it's a "shared plan". Is it $70/mo for 2 people or is it $70 per person? Thanks.

When I was looking at plans on "my rogers" for the last few months, they only give you the option of "shared plans" I called because for 2GB it was $90 plus fees and taxes for 1 phone.

Recently I went back on there and there is a promotion that says "Exclusive to you!" They're offering a 4GB share everything plan including unlimited nationwide calling and text ect for $80 a month for 1 phone. I called retentions to see if I could get anything better than this, and was basically told both times thats about as good as its going to get, but they would knock $10 a month off.

Be careful about any discounts they offer (eg: $10 off per month). They did that to my 3 year plan and then within 12 months, all the discounts/credits were removed even though at the time of the negotiation, they never mentioned that. Good thing the CRTC ruling kicks in in a week or so, can't wait to leave Rogers

jackmeister 05-27-2015 02:51 PM

our family (business) has 3 rogers accounts with 10+ years tenure on it, for what its worth.

We were looking into joining it for a Share Everything plan (10gb for personal/11gb for small biz) which comes out to around 200 + tax (195 for personal account, 200 for small biz, bringing own phones). This is roughly what we paid for, combined, so there's not much of a net loss

Was wondering what role does loyalty play?

Unfortunately, with Rogers, it means nothing.

SoNaRWaVe 05-27-2015 10:25 PM

i was also with them for 10+ years, i had asked them a few times what they can do for me. i have 2 lines to my account. i was able to only get $5 off per line per month.

loyalty holds no leverage whatsoever in my experience.

Yeah, it's a new plan that just became available to the company I used to work for. They required me to verify employment, but thankfully they also have the same plan available for friends and family.

SoNaRWaVe 05-28-2015 11:23 PM

if you don't, can you tell me the name of this plan? feel free to PM me if you prefer.

right now i'm on the corp350 plan for $50 before taxes.

AstulzerRZD 05-29-2015 09:17 AM

Is that with a contract?

Fido is offering $45 BYOD for unlimited canada wide calling and 1gb of data, no voice mail though, but it has premium spotify.

If you add another line, you get 10% off of it.

Total sub total would be $90.50

Gucci Mane 05-29-2015 05:47 PM

ugh. why cant carriers just offer good plans. i want only 6gb data, an sms plan and to be charged a fair rate per min for phone calls as i hardly ever make any calls. dont see why they couldn't do that for about $45/month.

I think it's a specific corporate plan only available to the employees, family, and friends of the company.

Acura604 06-02-2015 07:58 AM

still on a Rogers corporate plan... $50 before tax.

Unlimited Canada Wide
Unlimited Text/Picture
3 GB Data
VM 3 / Caller ID

kinda want visual voicemail but not a big deal...been on this plan now for close to 2yrs.

Sorry, only available to employees of a 'certain' organization.

Yeah, I'd like to know too and hope that I have a friend or family working there so they can hook me up!

gurdeep007 06-03-2015 09:46 AM

Has anyone called in today to cancel your contract ? Any good offers to remain with Rogers?

hi-revs 06-03-2015 11:44 AM

With my corporate plan I get-
350 outgoing WD minutes (Ultd incoming)
Ultd from 6pm
Ultd txt/pic msg
VM and CD
6gb data
$58/m tax in

Probably gonna keep it. It's more than I can use anyways.

roastpuff 06-03-2015 01:17 PM

I got a text saying that I could get unlimited Canada-wide texting and calling for free for 12 months on my current plan. Lasts as long as I don't HUP or switch.

I have the Super 60 6GB plan, so I'm going to keep that. I'm paying $80ish a month for it due to long-distance calling so this saves me $12.

thats the same plan i have. but mine is only $56/m tax in. it also includes 100 long distance minutes.

i will never let this plan go. i got it right when it came out and now, a corp plan with 6gb data costs $70/m before taxes :heckno:

gurdeep007 06-05-2015 08:43 AM

I got a call from 1855-760-4841 this morning

They claim that they are the calling on behlaf od Rogers

Here's what they are offering
$80 for 4GB Share Everything Plan
That includes call display, voicemail, unlimited talk and messaging, unlimited can-wide talk and messaging

I asked him is he had anything that beat what I currently have and he said no, and this was a service call to see if I needed more compared to my current plan.....

entrax 06-08-2015 06:38 PM

just called in and was able to get $74 for:
6gb
unlimited minutes/text/canadian calling
caller id/voicemail
roam like home (which is actually quite useful)

this is for a non-corporate plan and I was only able to get this after buying out the contract. The plan was 1 year into a 2 year contract with a 10 year history with Rogers. So now I have a month-to-month $79 (plus $5 discount for 1 year) for 6gb. Rep said I should call back when the $5 discount is over, renegotiate since I will be a "greater risk of leaving".

----------------

my corporate plan is $54 + govt fee of 2.13 + tax:
"250 Business Advantage Plus"
250+50 bonus minutes
300 incoming extra minutes
6gb
unlimited text/caller id/voicemail

started last year, almost halfway done the 3 year contract.
