The Canucks have always gone in cycles after the late 80s. We were a 100 pts/high 90s a year team in the early to mid 90s. Then it was the Messier Era that tore this team apart until the WCE era.

I would rather see the Canucks bring up the younglings to play for the team - even if we miss the playoffs and end up getting a high draft pick.

I'd love to see Hansen, Jaffary, Raymond, Grabner, Hodgson all up here next year. It would be better than seeing a bunch of 4th line pluggers.

I've meet the Aqualini's and know a few people in business with them, all I'll say is that I would only trust Aqualini as far as I can throw him.

anything to do with Grabner if plays, Should be put at best on 3rd line. See how he performs agains other 3rd line teams etc, let him put some #'s up an see if worth bumping to next line!

On another Canuck related note, has anyone else been following the prospects camp? Grabner has put on a lot of muscle since last year and is about 185lbs, hes been training hard and aims to be at least 190lbs by training camp. If the Canucks can't bring in any UFA forwards maybe time to give Grabner a shot?

i'd take afinogenov for bieksa in a heartbeat

Well to be fair to gill, this is suppose to be our rebuilding phase and rebuilding any team in any sport is usually hard and painful.

I rather not rebuild, instead do what the flyers oilers and bolts did
but then again there is no one to sign next year as UFA

I'd love to see Bernier with the Sedins. Hate to give up Bieksa.

Up front, we have 2/3 of a first line. Second line we could probably patch something together with Wellwood and Pyatt. It's not like it was any better last yr. But we definitely need that impact first line.

Depending on the players we get/ice at the start of the season, I wouldn't be surprised if he asked for a trade.
