i have a feeling nazzy will be ripping up 80 pts this coming season with the Rangers....

cspec 07-04-2008 01:25 AM

^ same here...

Tim Budong 07-04-2008 01:51 AM

nazzy will be better in NYR...not 100% garuantee, but he goes back to a run n gun system with d men that are now WILLING to make the first pass out to start the break

we had that..but it sorta stopped after AV took over.. i mean..we had a very similar core D group when crow was in charge and we were one of hte top teams in the league when it comes to pts form the D...

first pass up the play to lead a break out from ur own end=basic txtbook hockey thats efficient

but then..remember this...a team full of 20-25 goal scorers can win too...just consistency is key

As for Nazzy, his time was done 3 yrs ago waste of cap an $. Mo, he should stay an if likes it here would take less money to stay then leave.

Think about getting Burtz back to get the fire again just sign a 1 yr deal for under 3mill, my final thought..

Bring up lil Reid to play again fast an can shoot an check. Faster skaters = less penalties (no hooking/tripping) cuz they can skate.. keeps us out of the box need to have the ' YOUNG GUNZ' its the new NHL step aside papa's

Please refrain from using Engrish next time. I had to read it four times to understand what you were trying to say.

Reid is no longer Canuck property, he signed in Europe.

Jagr signed in Russia with Avangard Omsk and Boyle & Lukowich traded to SJ for Carle, 1st & 4th round pick and a prospect. West is getting tougher, SJ D looking a lot better now adding Blake, Boyle and Lukowich in the last 2 days. Apparently Vancouver was one of the teams wanted to come to, its being reported he was only willing to waive his NTC to go to SJ, Vancouver or Philadelphia.

Boyle to SJ

Sources tell TSN Dan Boyle has signed his no-trade clause and has agreed to a trade to the San Jose Sharks.

The paper work is now in the hands of the NHL. Pending NHL approval the next step will be the finalization of the deal.

In return for the 31-year old veteran defenseman, it is believed Tampa will receive a package that will include 23-year old defenseman Matt Carle, a first round draft pick, a prospect and a 4th round pick.
Sources say defenseman Brad Lukowich is also part of the deal going to San Jose.

The Vancouver Canucks and Philadelphia Flyers were the other two teams who made in to Boyle's final three trade options.

Boyle only played 37 games this season after his wrist was cut by a skate in a freak accident, but he put up 25 points on four goals and 21 assists. He signed a six-year, $40 million extension in February just before the trade deadline.

Morrison expected to reject the shitty 1 year / $1.9M offer

http://www.sportsnet.ca/thewire/hock...o_see_brendan/

Don't expect to see Brendan Morrison back in Vancouver
Friday, July 4, 2008
News / Vancouver Province
http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/images/Van.gifUnrestricted free agent centre Brendan Morrison will not re-sign with the Vancouver Canucks, The Province has learned. At one point, seven teams expressed interest in Morrison and a source indicated that the 32-year-old Pitt Meadows native is expected to sign a multi-year deal elsewhere and reject a one-year, $1.9-million US offer from the Canucks.

Roach 07-04-2008 07:30 AM

^ Not surprised. Nor will I miss him.

Boyle is a good player, but another D-man is not what we need to trade prospects for at this point. He will do well in San Jose playing with Thorton.

I think this is great.

I got tired of the old "core", time for a new one, perhaps one that won't fall apart in the 3rd period when they're leading by 2 goals.

Hey guys,
I just heard Naslund to Canucks for Alex Stojanov!!!
so excited to see how this new guy develops.

Ronin 07-04-2008 08:19 AM

I hear this new kid named Trevor Linden just got drafted. I wonder how he'll pan out...

iwantaskyline 07-04-2008 08:34 AM

sign demitra or we are fucked...i hope we bring hodgson up to center the second line.

Gh0stRider 07-04-2008 08:41 AM

It appears Jaromir Jagr's days in the National Hockey League are over. The Russian hockey team Avangard Omsk announced it has signed the former New York Rangers star.

Tim Budong 07-04-2008 08:44 AM

what a slap in the face to Bmo..there are teams willing to pay him good money for his services

Roach 07-04-2008 09:14 AM

I'm a little concerned that Demitra might be a little bit overhyped and that his point production might have a lot more to do with playing with Marion Gaborik. I don't think he has the ability to change or lead a team. A good player, but not the impact player everyone might expect him to be.

Honestly, I'm kind of reminded of Jan Hlavac.

He didn't prove he was worth it last season so that's his own fault

to start the season, Mo was one of our best forwards, better then nazzy, up until he got injured. Honestly, After the first few games, i was excited to watch morrison play, but then he got injured, and you could see that from his game.

With the inflated slaries, Morrison is worth more then 1.9mill.
and truly, that offer is a bitch slap to bmo, courtesy of our
BEST GM EVER, Mike Gillis.

lilaznviper 07-04-2008 09:48 AM

canucks are seriously fuked this year if gillus keeps this up

popnGEAR 07-04-2008 09:50 AM

Guys, to put in perspective, B'Mo had 25 pts in 39 games which is on pace for 50+ pts. This is with a bum wrist and hip.

Is 50 pts really not worth 3 million? How can gillis offer 1.2 to Ryan Johnson who is the same age with shittier production (much shittier, 18pts in 78gp) and only 1.9 to B'Mo. Fuck.
