I just hope this will result in people selling/not re-upping their season ticket packages and single game tickets will be easily available :bowdown: |

All the best to Markus in NYR. Truthfully, I think a change of scenery was needed for him as he really has not played the same since the Steve Moore incident. He will be missed for all his contributions to the Canucks. Kev |
I doubt Sundin will be coming to Vancouver now. Naslund just signed with the Rangers so you'd have to assume that he has an idea of what Sundin was going to do. |
Just in, the Canucks have given offer sheets to Greg Adams, Cliff Ronning, Sergio Momesso, and the Courtnall brothers. Kev |
Naslund = 2 years / $8M = 4M per season |

As pathetic as our offense has been, Naslund simply had to go. He needed a change of scenery I think, as his confidence was just not there, with the style of play we had obviously not helping, but I was tired of him. Gillis does not appear to have much of a plan however, while the Oilers are slowly looking pretty impressive. At least lets hope we suck the most and get first overall pick next year. |
OMFG I can't believe Naslund signed somewhere else. I thought he was going to finish a Canuck, retire, and go back to Sweden. In a perfect world... :( |
please gillis just forget about winning n let us get the top pick |
That's not the biggest shock. Many people wanted him out during the season in Feb. The biggest shock is now that he's gone. We REALLY have no offense to draw other players in. Sundin is really gone now. 99% sure. Time to rebuild... I hope Cory Schneider is ready to play. Becuase we know who wants to leave now for a playoff contending team. And what it all comes down is, I put the blame not on Gillis, but Aquallini for the Nonis' firing. Firing him was one thing, but without even having a suitable GM was another thing. Aquallini felt the pressure, fired Nonis, didn't even have a GM to replace him at that moment, quickly grabbed Gillis, a rookie GM, sounded good on paper, sounded optimistic in his interview, but under pressure especially in a big hockey town, was unable to pull off anything. End of story. At this point in time, it isn't Gillis making something happen, it's him hoping for something to happen. |
correct me if i am wrong, i might be getting it mixed up with other leagues regarding draft picks but being the shittest team doesn't guarantee the first pick, right? Isn't it the bottom team gets like a 80% chance of getting first pick or something like that? hmm i might be thinking about nba draft or something |
^ luongo wont allow that just how sundin didnt allow toronto :lol: |
