I liked Shannon a lot too.. So far i'm not liking this deal but we'll see how that trade turns out in the next year or two.

i too liked shannon, but compared to raymond. raymond had a more productive time up here than shannon, not to mention raymond is also younger and had room to grow. i think this is the best shannon will ever get

As somone suggested on the radio, Gillis is playing money-ball, he's taking chances and signing players that have at least performed at SOME professional level, shannon went all 11 games he played with Anaheim in the playoff's with 0 points and only has 8 points total in his 36 career NHL games or somthing like that

so besides a character guy and fan favorite, it's not really a big loss

The date for when single game tickets go on sale hasn't been announced yet. Mid-september is my guess.

Tickets you see on sale now are probably those being sold by season or ice-pak ticket holders.

I'm checking Ticketmaster, but I see no dates for that. I noticed the sales date for some games differ though. (I usually get my brother to get them)

we may not have a cup but we got linden. not many players in the league(i imagine only a handful) have such a great stature as he does.

The send-off that Jerome Iginla and the Flames showed him at the last game is an indicator of just how how much respect he has in the league, and in hockey in general.
