ok so i just turned off my bold and pulled my battery out. when i went to restart it again everything was set back to default and now i can't find my bbm or anything!

help???

Did a whole bunch of errors come up when restarting? Try doing another battery pull.

huh. that worked. anyone know the reason to why this happens? i did get a lot of erros lol i thought i broke my bold haha

Happens to me atleast once every 10 battery pulls. Nothing serious.

Did anyone have problems syncing your blackberry with the computer after the upgrade?

I'm not sure if the OS upgrade is the cause; however, when I sync with the comp, the desktop manager would suddenly disappear with no error messages. I've tried searching online for solutions, but no one seem to have similar symptoms.

I am not impressed with Rogers. I just had all my monthly credits removed. Now I have to waste an hour of my life getting them back.

anyone else mod their blackberry bold? im using the denim backing

does anyones berry get ridiculously hot when it's being charged? mine does and when i charge it over night it only goes up to 80% batter life for some reason.

and for data counter, it says i used 100mb last month, but i havent got my bill yet, so i'll update once i get it.

mayb...i'm scared it'll do something funny to it lol. when you update firmware do you have to reinstall all your apps again?

It retains all your installed apps. However, if you have any custom settings in it, you'll have to enter them all again. For example, my Google Mail makes me log back in again and BB 411 makes me enter in my addresses again.

and i'm assuming you need to back up your phone as well?

You can if you want. DM does it for me before I do a firmware update.

how? its so easy to do. crackberry has all the steps, the hardest part of the whole thing is deleting the vendor.xml file and even that is really easy, lol.

weird question here but what is the default trackball colour?
is it supposed to be black or white? mine is black and when it lights up, it's white...
because im begining to think i may have a refurbished bold instead of a brand new one when i got it =S
i had the bold since november and the trackball is not even smooth anymore..it jams once in awhile...kinda getting annoying...
im still under warranty but they told me that i will get a refurbished bold...=S

whyen you guys updated the software how long do you get the loading clock on initial start up for?

nm it works now with .266 lol i think i'm not gonna update anything on my bold anymore haha

mine is modded with black bezel and buttons, black bottom plate, black trackball and denim battery cover.

i get a "App Error 523" after a few battery pulls... Happened twice already! I always have to reload everything back onto my Bold again. Luckily I have everything backed up. But it's annoying! Not sure which app is causing it... I don't remember loading anything new onto it.

its supposed to be white when you first get it, the 8900 curves came with a black trackball.
