Where I can get the best price on a BB Bold with a 3 year term? My current contract with Rogers is expiring soon so I don't mind signing another one. The places I see are selling it for $299 on a 3 year deal but I remember hearing on the radio 1-1.5 months back (Chinese radio if that matters) and I think it was AM Call that had it for only $99. I've already called Rogers to see what they can offer me but "my price" according to the rep I talked to is $274.99. I've seen it for cheaper during Boxing Week.

I got mine for $99, but it's because Rogers wanted to get me on a smartphone and offered me a good deal. I'd say that now is a good time to hop on it due to cheap data prices and you can negotiate a good retentions plan with them. I wouldn't worry too much about the price up front vs bill price over 3 years.

WOWOWOWO my BBM is so fucked up. it sends half the msgs i type and half are just sitting there with a check mark, not delivered or anything and it will deliver it an hour or something later on. Tried doing a battery pull and everything. nothing works. so pissing. :flamemad: time to get a new berry from rogers haha

are you sure its the bold? have you tried resending service books to your phone and try again? what OS are you using? are you using BBM 5 or the old one?

my BBM sometimes has a message lag as well so i end up sending text msgs for important stuff to make sure it gets there for sure lol

then thats the problem. BBM 5 is buggy at the moment as its leaked, not official. i've encountered that sometimes half your msgs do not send out or if it does, its delivered, but not received. and as for the status, one of my buddy's status was on the phone when clearly he was not, as i was right by him.

im downgrading back to 4.6 now.


edit: downgrade complete....good to have a fully functional bbm. BBM 5.0 was good while it lasted.

lol stupid thing i downgraded and it wouldn't let me install bbm from the website so i had to reinstall OS4.6 on my berry. so dumb. that's like the 4th time i've installed an OS on my phone in 2 months

thats the only way to downgrade to 4.6

i find it weird how each bb's battery hold is so different..
i just replaced my bold thru rogers and the battery doesnt even last a day...
my old one has no problems at all!

i'm running the same os too..it's 4.6.0.167

My first Bold wouldnt last a day either, Rogers gave me a new one after I tried several batteries and confirmed it was the phone itself.

got to about 60%, then u see the damn little clock thing, and i get this error. "907 Invalid COD, Unable to import ZIP file"

does anyone know how to reset my Profiles by to their default settings?

sorry wasn't online too much here, but there is an easier way to do it. all you had to do was back up bbm via DM. erase bbm 5 on the phone via options > advanced options > delete bbm 5 and restart the phone. plug your phone back into DM and click apploader, you would be able to select BBM 4.6 to add. just continue ahead and after its done, do a restore and you have your BBM 4.6 with all your contacts.

You can't do it that way because when you update to BBM 5 it changes what you can and cannot install onto you berry. Where it says options it says version 5.0 and theres no way of goign back to 4.6. Normally you would be able to download it off the website but IIRC it said it's not compatible with my OS or something like that.
